Come on man we both know that 'restored Casca and Guts are about to meet!!!' will be a hiatus cliffhanger. I don't think we'll reach that point this time around, maybe after the next hiatus?

Just read the newest chapter. The ending was pretty awesome. They should be able to reach the summit more easily now, but before that, I guess we'll have a full chapter dedicated to Dog Guts fighting.

The chapter wasn't bad, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't massively disappointed it didn't follow up on what happened last time. We've been waiting for more than a decade and just as we're seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, Miura pulls this. That's sadistic as hell!

I was expecting the same thing as Kanon haha, but nope! My disappointment is minimal though, because 1) the art and designs in this chapter were amazing and 2) because they're hinting at another presence and I really want to find out what it is. Plus if I think these events are going to lead to where I think they're going to go, it's going to get pretty nutty.

A year later, a new chapter finally came out. Don't get your hopes up, no Guts and Casca. It's another Griffith chapter.

Spoiler for Berserk 356 Korean spoilers: Unfortunately, the story has cut away to Griffith and the Band of the Hawks, who are exterminating a small army of giants with trolls as pets, no kidding. The art is incredible. The giants and trolls have makeshift weapons and armour made out of scavenged parts and human/beastly remains (like a flail made out of a Holy See idol and armour made out of boat/ship parts and skulls/skeletons). Their banners are also made out of human skin, pretty grisly to say the least. Mule's riding, wondering what nation these giants came from when some of them throw boulders at him, but avoids being crushed thanks to Sonia's telepathic warning. Sonia also telepathically informs Griffith of the enemy leader (who's looking pretty badarse I may add) and his location, as well as something with an ominous Od behind him in the bushes/forest. Griffith and the rest of the Hawks cut a swathe through the giants and come face to face with the leader, who is literally shaking with fear upon seeing Griffith's death glare. Despite it cutting away from Casca+Guts, I rather enjoyed this chapters/episode. The art's amazing and the designs of the giants are great and there are some humourous touches as well, like the leader dropping his "cup" (actually a bell lol) in fear of Griffith, which ends up crushing a troll. I also believe that Griffith's extermination of harmful creatures could possibly eventually encompass even benelovent ones. And what's in the bushes behind the leader? A monster? A spirit?
