True. But it seems a tall order to ask your parents for $80+ dollars every month to buy 2 episodes of anime and $35-40 for a wallscroll, etc.

I'm just not into this. Episode one was the best one for me. It doesn't get me excited about the following weeks episode compared to some other shows I'm watching. I'm enjoying Mashiro more than this.

For this episode...eh, it was okay. The end scene was executed much better than that time when Inori revealed she was lying to Shu and there wasn't anything that annoying in this episode, but there wasn't really much excitement either. I'm now practically convinced that the first arc was what the creators meant when they said they wanted to get all the cliches out of the way. You know there was a much more exciting, non-Independence Day way of doing that you morons!

Shu's mom is not funny though, and I don't know why Shu has a crush on Inori, who still has no personality. I also don't know about Hare, but I don't really care about her either.

Edit: As for next episode, really? We're going back to that guy again? Okay.

Not sure if I missed something,
Spoiler:

Good episode, we got Hare, Tsumugi in maid costume and Shu getting punished to carry his mate
Spoiler:

Honestly I still have no clue what Gai and his people are doing, they seemed to be chasing random GHQ artifacts, besides sourcing supplies and securing supply routes for arms. Hopefully we get more inside about what their deal is before half break/12th episode.

It's a guy named Keido. Aside from the fact that he looks kind of like that Friagne guy from Shana mixed with Hermann from Negima, he's apparently dangerous.

And I just have to ask, what exactly is the goal of Funeral Parlor? I don't think they really made it clear what they're supposed to be doing.

I don't think anything has been clear in this show.

Someone using the card, not Shu's dad. Unless, lol, Shu's dad faked his death, or some other such nonsense.

I dunno. I liked this episode and found it funny. I wasn't blown away.

The only thing I have to say is that I think the GC creative team should've started out with campier episodes like 7 and 8, and other than maybe that first intro sequence avoided anything too serious until around now.

See Katsuragi Keima's collection.

Some parents will spend the money anyway.

He is but Keido barely appeared in GC, so of course some people forgot about it.

First of all, what a way to start of the episode.

Spoiler for Haruka service!:

Back to the story before I lose myself.

This episode was pretty much filled with fan service, I guess they're making up for lost time eh? Seeing as most of the other episodes didn't have as much. Hare and Shu was a nice touch, another pairing I wouldn't mind seeing over Shu and Inori. Alas, Inori was pretty much her boring self that was used as bait for Gai and Shu.

Shu's void pulling to his friend was more of an assault. He didn't even want to pull it out, he just wanted to stop him confessing to Inori which he does actually like.

Ayasa managed to get the invisible cloak from Harry Potter

As for Souta's void, Shu raised a good question. Why would a void that can open just about anything be inside Souta? From what I saw, he seemed more like guy that keeps to himself and is rather cocky...could it be the fact that he was about to open his heart to Inori by confessing? Inori did say voids change along the states of people's hearts.

Lastly, just what is Gai planning? He's doing all these operations, attempting to gain GHQ technology and we have no idea why...surely he's up to something suspicious.

I can't blame them with the weird pacing of this show.

Didn't expect Hare to go on the offensive. Wow Tsumugi in maid outfit is pure win. So Shu's dad was pretty famous. Lol SHu's assault of Souta. "Inori is my..." Like how everyone was there watching as well. It has to be to much of a coincidence that Keido took the rock minutes before FP got there. Souta's void was interesting. Glad him and Shu were able to grow as friends. SO people's voids can change depending on their relationships. Guessing Inori's will change then.

Seemed to me that Souta's void being able to open anything is connected to how he finally got Shu to be open with his feelings. I guess because he's a pretty in-your-face kind of guy he makes you more open.

And my impression of Funeral Parlor has always been of freedom fighters. You know like most, I guess, terrorist groups.

I'm going to laugh whatever her void turns into. Bigger swordgun out of power of love? Little void dagger b/c of a misunderstanding?

This show has so many campy angles it could go if it wanted to.

This continues to be a series that’s drawn exclusively in primary colors, with almost no shading or subtlety to be found. It’s as if a group of very bright ninth-grade boys were given a huge budget and access to the best TV animators in Japan and told to make an anime. They fill it with whatever seems cool at any given moment, inject what passes for big ideas in their limited consciousness, and as a result the flow between episodes is always awkward and jumpy and the transition between serious and comic moments never smooth. Guilty Crown is to sci-fi anime what R-15’s Taketo is to porn, basically. But then, Taketo’s porn always managed to draw a laugh from me.

I actually thought this ep was pretty polished by GC standards. Pacing was better, and the episode seemed to hold together better than most of them have.

I thought this was on average one of the tighter episodes of Guilty Crown too, but then again that's only because it doesn't attempt much, so that's a bit of a backhanded compliment.
