I'm using my laptop and is W7. Currently I wish to take photos of me but I notice that I got no icon for my webcam. Can anyone help me so that I can get to access my webcam easily.

is it an internal (came with your laptop) or external webcam? you can download the driver for it according to your laptop model number or the manufacturers webcam model.

Internal... Thats why I'm wondering why there is no icon for it for immediate use.

Check Device Manager and see if the PC detects the webcam. If not try for a hardware search until it finds it. If it does, get the model and make sure drivers and files are up to date. If it doesn't find your webcam, it's probably broken.

I don't think so because it works in my yahoo messaging and video chat.

Try looking for a third party webcam software on the internet, since you can't just use it without a program. YM video chat is a webcam program by default.

There should be a program that allows you to access the webcam to do what you want.

It should be listed in the programs section under the laptop manufacturers name.
