Yeah, I for one believe the story of the Third Shinza, which is probably our next stop after 0th Shinza is done with after Avesta, will basically deal with NEET's origin story. The huge expansion on Myoujou Hisouten in Saoshyant Desatir, coupled with Masada's Tweet on Snake's underlings, the Gommorah, are heavy hints towards it.
Once we get story about Marie's world, I'm betting plot will be an expansion on Hajun's origins (probably more about his birth's circunstances) and Samsara Vartin, with reincarnations of Dies' cast as main characters if Masada's tweet about characters following Marie is any indication. |

Marie's world for sure is about Hajun. His chief priestess is the point woman for his faction after all.
But Snake's origins will be the most interesting. For starters, the stage shifts to Earth or rather, history familiar to us.....How or why did this even come about is already interesting enough.

Okay, time for the weekly info dump. Today's issue is lore and, to be honest, we got too little in comparison to earlier weeks. But anyway, as for the glossary we have:
Ashavan and Dragvant: All living things (yeah, include plants here) are divided into Good and Evil. And the fighters in each side are named Ashavan (Good) and Dragvant (Evil). Eternally vying for supremacy, currently Dragvant is winning the struggle. Basically because the average Dragvant is very much stronger than the average Ashavan. To face them, the Ashavan's elite, the Yazata, are needed and as to be an answer to them is what the Dragvant's elite, the Daeva, are for. Yazata: Heroes of the Ashavan, their domain being Wahman Yast. They are great warriors who can perfectly read the Avesta and have received the divine blessing of Vohu Manah, the guardian Star Spirit of Wahman Yast. They are great heroes who are sent through the entire universe to save those in need, answering their cries of help. Daeva: The elite of the Dragvant, powerful beings that can perfectly read the Avesta. Even though there are few in numbers, as you would usually find just 1-2 Daeva per planet, their strength usually requires a group of Yazata to take down a single one of their weakest. Wahman Yast has classified Daeva in different classes: Class Four: Weak Daeva. Requires a group of unseasoned Yazata to take down. Class Three: Average Daeva. Requires a skilled Yazata to be defeated. Class Two: Class to which the soldiers of the Demon Kings belong to, they each have power akin to natural disasters/calamities. A group of Yazata might be able to kill one of these while taking loses. Class One: Class of the Demon Kings' personal aide. Their power is so great that those Yazata that have beaten one in the past can be counted with less than 10 fingers. Special Class: Quasi-Demon Kings. So far only 4 confirmed in existence by Wahman Yast. They are the successors of the current Demon Kings were they to be defeated. Seven Great Demon Kings: The core group of the Evil Side, 7 absolute Evils ruling the Dragvant. Even though their power is of trascendent nature, their number is fixed at 7, and it can't ever rise. Star Spirit Divine Blessing: Blessing Vohu Manah grants to the Yazata of Wahman Yast, signified by a wing-like tatoo showing up somewhere in their bodies. The blessing manifests as one use feathers, their number being proportional to their martial prowess and conquests. The average number of feathers is 5, which is the number Quinn possesses. As for the feathers, we get info as to what they do: Boosting attack= Sam. Boosting defense= Kshatra. Regeneration= Haoma. Teleportation= Sewatir. Flight= Fravard. However, these are not without their flaws. Using Attack and defense boosting might decrease speed, while Flight and Teleportation might do so with weight, so these are variables to be taken into account. Sewatir is the Yazata's means to move in between planets. It is possible to combine multiple blessings to create unique techniques with unique effects, but doing so is risky as hell, as it might end up destroying the user. Magsarion though carelessly does this on a regular basis (this hints Alastor is not his Commandment, but simply a custom technique via combination of multiple blessings). Last bit of info is about the Commandments. Commandments are limitations, whose contents can be defined by their users, that grant massive boons (usually inversions of their limitations) if they are followed through. There are people with multiple Commandments. If you break them, divine punishment falls upon you and you die AT BEST. There are said to be punishments worse than death for breaking a Commandment, but details are unknown (aka this is relevant to the plot). |

I wonder how many people knows about the rule that good and evil will flip whenever a side wins, and then the conflict will reset to start over.
Quinn definitely doesn't know about it, and I assume this is going to haunt her eventually somewhere down the story. But I assume the Dark Doraemon does, consider he chooses to not destroy his opposition entirely. |

So it was only a matter of time before someone lewds Quinn with that kind of Vow.....and it's Masada himself who does it lol
BTW, this kind of settles the question whether people permanently die prior to the Snake's world. Guess he wasn't the first Throne God to have reincarnation or looping.....

From how the Pantheon promotional material and Saoshyant Desatir made it sound like, it looked like for some reason, the winning side shifts their alignment and a new opponent appears. Didn't sound like reincarnation or a chair swapping game happening to the same "actors" forever.
But we'll see. Learning of this is what will make Magsarion go over the edge I suppose. After all, Yazata can perfectly read Avesta, but it seems this little tidbit isn't included. Just the info about the victory conditions. |

『凶戦士』後編 (first part)
Spoiler:
Kind of complicated at first glance but interesting to see how Vohu Manah's feather combos can work. Very RPG-kei this setting.... BTW, Magsarion is technically Quinn's sibling in a way since his armour is a product of Quinn's father. Like what his moniker of Destruction Workshop suggests, Khvarenah is famous throughout the universe for his products and offspring that end up among both sides. In terms of science, magic, craftsmanship etc, he is unmatched. Indeed, recovery of the artifacts created by him so that they don't fall into enemy hands is one of the Wahman Yasht's missions.

I wonder how does it feels for some yazata that those treasures are, technically and quite literally, garbage from one of their greatest enemies.
Not like being a janitor makes any difference to Magsarion though. Last edited by AkitoW013; 2019-10-12 at 05:09. |
