Nope, it's not skyfall I 'think' it's from a game, but I can't think what.

For some reason, I remembered this anime from the depths of my memories.

How should I describe it? It's science fiction, it's got star destroyers and battleships, but everyone's dressed in ancient Chinese clothings. The sort you see in Dynastic Warriors/Sangoku Musou.

It's definitely not Outlaw Star, which also has a Chinese-themed futuristic world. Outlaw Star is more similar to Cowboy Bebop (and Josh Whedon's Firefly) in style. The anime I'm talking about has a more epic feel to it. Think of it as Romance of the Three Kingdoms in Space.

You're probably thinking of Ginga Sengoku Gunyuuden Rai, or its english adaptation title Thunder Jet.
It's based on both feudal Japanese and ancient Chinese armor, mixed.

i recall someone asks this question somewhere back in this thread...but i forgot which. i recall is somewhere along the lines of 18+

edit: FINALLY found it, to your question check post #1782 on page90 ^^. Apparenly is from a H-Anime called Mahou Shoujo Ai

hello everyone I'm new here xD and i have an anime that i used to watch back in 2nd grade (1996)
It was a mecha anime about a boy who finds a robot in a mountain and he ends up fighting a bunch of these other robots as the story progresses. I remember that at some point of the story his robot completely freezes over, it was some sort of evolution thing where the robot gets stronger. Man that as a great anime when i was a kid, but apparently that is all i remember =/
It was dubbed in cantonese (chinese)..if someone can name it, a thousand thanks to you =D
