i smell season 2

I'm pretty sure Siegfried just sat there and let Luke make a new Katana because he wanted to prove that the Katanas he made with "Love" couldn't match his oh-so-powerful Demon Sword of Corrosion.

Typical bad guy mistake. Sigh

Yea, he probably thought he can just crush whatever crap Luke was going to make, especially in the hands of Cecily. I would probably do the same thing though. If my opponent's skill is notches below me and I'm using a kickass sword.

I felt not closure at the end of this episode so I'm definitely looking forward to season 2. It would be nice to see Luke use Aria once and make fun of Cecily afterwards.

Finally it's over. I can delete this horrid show and forget about it's existence. Ugh...

It is interesting to see how badly can one fail executing such a simple plot and make the few events there are feel rushed and out of place. Too bad everything in this show (except Cecily’s armour) is so flat and badly executed that it hurts your eyes if you try to watch the show for decent “medieval” fantasy.

For me, the best thing about Blacksmith were the main characters (heck, they deserved better show than this

). Action scenes were decent, although I’d expected more from the studio that did Samurai Champloo (which was twice as long). After listening to the OST, I have to say that music wasn’t exactly bad, either.

These 12 episodes were a mixed bag of cheese, but I guess I’ll try the second season anyway, if there is one. Waiting for the screenshots from the first Blu-ray now

A bit late. Spent the last 4 days YouTubing the game version Valkyria Chronicles (146 clips!), after the anime failed to live up. SnB is in a similar position but worse!

SnB definately had potential but the logic was totally messed up. I dislike long, fluffy chatting during battle (I cringed when this also happened in the VC game), as well as turning your back to the enemy in the process! Or being smiley-nice after 3 girls tried to murder you...twice!!?

Other than that, the plusses were the art, as well as Luke, Lisa and Aria being rather awesome characters. Not to forget the OST, especially track #1!

Somewhat enjoyable subjectively but 4/10. I've told multiple people during the season I'm watching SnB, and to not bother.

The question is, would anyone actually want to watch another season of this? Ok, jokes aside, the real question is whether there is enough source material. How far along in the novels are we? I imagine we're at least up to number 5 or 6 or so.

I'd say yes, since it all feels like a setup for something..

But yeah, the last few eps were a popsicle of cliches.

Sometimes I had to rewind and hear the words again since the cliches didn't register in my brain. Not a good sign...

Anyways, I felt like the story started to pick up way too late and then now it's over.

I try and finish everything I start. Even if it's drop dead horrible. This isn't the worst show I've seen, but it's far from a good show.

Well, now that the series is done(?),I just wanted to say:

If Seigfried was dumb enough to watch them power up. he deserved to die. Actually the wound both of the guys got were pretty fatal. Good for them that anime dpesnt adhere to the laws of this world.

Cecily is an interesting character, but she is a total busybody.

I wish Luke was the guy coming through in the final fight, that seemed like his fight. If Luke hadnt made an ubersword to cut the demon sword Seigfreid used she would be meat, because she is not a better fighter than Luke.
