Gintama being Gintama.

lol, ep. 236 probably have the most outrageous Jerk-off ending and the most ridiculous use of a re-start button in anime.

. Oh Sorachi, you're fabulous.

Easily one of the most hilarious arcs we've ever seen. It does help having Gundam knowledge, especially when most of the those jokes were eventually going to happen in Gintama. It was only a matter of time.

Next weeks should be great. Shooooooooooooogun.

Great closure to this arc. Damn...the 2nd half of the episode was so touching!!
But then...after the ending song...my god, goodbye to Temp/Monday Elizabeth!!

Another Shogun episode already huh? Can't wait!

.... oh Gintama. I was embarrassingly almost crying too, and then BAM. I think I was literally sobbing, "SORACHI, YOU TROLL!" But that was a great arc, lots of Sakamoto ~ <3

And yay for another Shogun episode, those are always so awesome!

Lol, this is a Shounen Jump gag series, there's little to no chance of the character status quo actually being broken. Remember when Otose "died"? They're all here to stay (until the series itself finishes, anyway).

Seriously, that was a whole new level of Gintama, they usually let the serious arcs do their srs business before pulling off something like that. Anyways, next week is bound to be hilarious!

Mitsuba is a new character at that time, and Sorachi is always ok with killing new characters after all. Many new characters in serious arc get killed (well, most of them are the enemies) while Elizabeth is one of the main character for all this time so I don't think Sorachi want to remove him as this is originally a gag manga

The humansnowboarding had me in stitches. The Shogun never fails to deliver laughs... too bad for him it's always at his expense.

I'd very much like to know how exactly Otae was steering Shinpachi using his glasses

Shinpachi had actually signed a contract with the cosmic horror known as GT so that his soul actually resides in his eyeglasses. Of course, periodically, he need to purify his his darken soul with kuso, otherwise he will be turned into an otaku

They weren't kidding when they said they ran out of money, the animation and character design was quite below average.

Still a funny episode, the glasses joke never gets old does it?
