We're not sure if that's Alicia, I really doubt it because Baridiche is not the device of Alicia, we don't know either if Alicia was trained in magic or battle either.

We have the theory that it's a clone like the many ones Precia or Jail could have created.

Just taking it at face and entertainment value.

I don't think Fate would address younger clones of herself as "nee-san" though, it'll be interesting to see how she's convinced. But then again, it's a doujin, guess I shouldn't expect much.

It may be part of it, but I don't think it's fair to reduce Fate to her unhappy relationship with Precia. The reasons she's softer than Nanoha (and generally more of a worrywart) could be multiple:

- Lindy. Maybe Lindy was especially nice because of Fate's past, or maybe her default behavior is to be gentle.

Might explain the rather mysterious mentioning that "Fate grew up real quick' part that Signum noted in SSM4.

I thought it was rather weird when it seemed Fate was quite mature during A's but being around a rather crazy abusive mother really does a number to your social and mental abilities.
