Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole (Sep. 24 2010)

Here is the trailer for an animated movie based on a series of books about owls.
Anyway the movie looks interesting and the animation looks breathtaking to say the least. When I heard about this movie I immediately search for the books and skimmed through them to at least have a better idea of what it was.And it grabbed my attention, especially since theres battles and magic and death (in very graphic and explicit ways I might add) in it, so the story has some degree of maturity to it.Enjoy the trailer and leave your comments on what you think about it.

I remember reading the book series when I was young, but my memories of the exact story and events is fuzzy after so long. Nonetheless, I saw this trailer while waiting for How To Train Your Dragon to start, and it completely blew me out of the water. The animaton is breathtaking, especially, so I'll definitely be checking it out.

Now, to dig out those books...

I'm honestly surprised at how good it looks. At first I was like "a movie of the Guardians of Ga'Hoole books? How are they gonna pull THAT off without failing?" but it looks really good actually

Who'd a thunk that Zack Snyder would go from Dawn of the Dead to The Owls of Ga'Hoole ...

Still, the trailer was beautiful...though I worry about Snyder's over-use of slow motion...

Really like the look of the the animation and the trailer certainly makes it look cool, however I probably won't be seeing it (in theaters at least).

This looks extraordinarily pretty .... hmmm, hadn't heard of the stories.

Next we'll see a "real" version of Watership Down I suppose.... or a proper remake of the NIMH series.... "Wind in the Willows"?

WAIT WAIT!!! Why would we need a "remake" of Nimh????? Please don't advocate for the destruction of my childhood and the legacy of Don Bluth. Oh god that comment just gave me a ministroke.

What god do I have to pray to to stop that from happening?

But you're probably right
Legend of the guardians will get a whole slew of crappy unimaginitive "Starwars 2.0 remakes"

Aye... not advocating... just predicting. The Hollywood vacuum cleaner of recycled ideas on the prowl.
