It was the Pangya game (known in the US as Albatross 18 I think)... its an mmo golf game. Horo maps marvelously onto a couple of the characters (all the characters have fairly extensive cut scenes and in-game movements)

Don't have a link handy though or even know if its still available.

I have a little doubt here about the series. Apparently there 13 episodes of the first season, but 12 only aired? Then there was this OVA that was release on May 2008? But there is this ova that was release this month or past month. My doubt is, where is this OVa form the first season? Does it really exist? Or is just the 13 episode? This confusion has been brought by some info from the wiki information of Spice and wolf, on the right side of the screen. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spice_and_wolf
Thnks ^_^

The episode numbering is a little confusing, I'll agree. In season 1, there were 13 episodes; 12 of them aired. The unaired episode was part of the DVD release for season 1. That episode number is episode #7. It's a bridge episode between the first half of season 1 and the second half of season 1. After season 1's DVD were released, there was a single 1 episode OVA released. Here at AS, we're referring to that OVA episode as season 2, episode #0. Now, we're starting into the official season 2 of which episode #1 aired last week.

Here's a summary listing of the seasons / episodes so far:

Season 1
episodes 1 - 6 (broadcast)
episode 7 (DVD only)
episodes 8 - 13 (broadcast)
OVA
episode 0 (DVD only)
Season 2
episodes 1 - ? (broadcast)

Thanks for the info. But why then in the wiki they mark a second OVA release on april 2009? Isn't that the one that has been release recently?

Strictly speaking, season 1 episode #7 -- the episode that is from the middle of season 1 -- is an OVA because it never aired. Wiki is including this as part of its OVA count.

Therefore, the episode called "season 2 episode #0" -- or the OVA as I listed it -- would be the second OVA for the series. Season 2 episode #0 or OVA (whatever you want to call it) is the one mentioned as the "second OVA" by Wiki that came out at the very end of April.

Did I clear things up? Or just make them muddier?

Because the Spice and Wolf II OVA (also called ep 0 of the second series) was released in April 2009, 30th April 2009. A good clue that it was released in April is the fact that the Spice and Wolf II - Episode 0 Discussion / Poll thread was created on 30th April and that the AniDB entry for Ookami to Kohaku-iro no Yuuutsu (Spice and Wolf II OVA) states it was released on 30th April. Don't you consider that being "recently".

Anyone listened to the 1st season's "Yakusoku no Uta" ? It's a great song, but it's so rare! Most songs by the same name is some sailor moon thing.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Qvfpw49P0g

I could only find one on youtube. Btw, anyone know when this song was used? I don't recall hearing it during the 1st season...but it sounds just as good as the OP.

It was never included in any of the episodes.

Yep. There are two versions on Spice and Wolf OP Single CD, probably as bonus tracks.

Methinks it would make a lovely opening for the next season

Question: I've seen the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya light novels available in English as E-books (pdf files) before they are published on paper, does anyone know if in this case any English language E-books of the Spice & Wolf light novels exist at all?

I know they're out there, 'cause I've read (some of) them before. But I don't know where to find them any more, and probably couldn't tell you anyway (due to the rules of this forum).

All of those would be considered UNlicensed and unless you made it yourself for your own use (Fair Use) as a copyright violation. Reviewing the forum rules might be a prudent action .

That said... it wouldn't take much work at all to take any existing attempts at fan translation and convert them into PDF files.
