I call BS that a legit business owner can loose their business just by being challenged to a Shokugeki. They really must be all kind of stupid to put their business on the line like that. They better demanded for the foreigner to bet an equal value of their business otherwise I would say it serves them right for being stupid.

That show was good. Although I kept watching it because of the heroine and her *ahem* assets.

dark chefs can easily bet everything they have since their own competitions seem to bet their lives as a norm.

Long ago, stuff from the other side of the world was the height of luxury, but these days, don't people focus more on locally produced ingredients?

I don't think they're a society of evil chefs, as much as just chefs willing to work for crime bosses and the like. They have no special ties with each other, no secret handshakes.

Indeed. I hope that author will elaborate the deal further in upcoming chapters or else, it is really stupid. In fact, it is even stupid than what Soma did in chapter 1 because Erina and Underground Cooking Society were somewhat making a freaking big deal of the concept of "Shokugeki" when it could just be your average betting between 2 persons.

Pretty sure when it comes to *ahem* assets department, SnS will not lose too.

From the little I saw through Google, in the "Assets Department", SnS wins

Just read the chapter a bit ago (and One Piece, but that's not for here).

Man, this is ridiculous. Erina seems to be taking it too seriously even if she's the Headmaster of Tootsuki and needs to take Shokugekis and the risk of damaging their name or whatnot seriously. What are you doing, mangaka-sensei?

@Anh_Minh: Yeah, they probably are just chefs willing to work for crime bosses and such, but the chapter did call them "evil chefs" and "dark chefs".

if that's the case, then it's actually pretty ok in my eyes,

The chapter was really hilarious though

@NAJ: Didn't that the weebo guy already say that they use the best-possible ingredients? He also used such ingredients in his own dish.

Anyway, I'm hoping Megumi will beat him. She needs her time to shine.

It was sarcasm...I thought the emoji made it painfully clear.

I guess this is where the concept of underworld chefs comes from

Isshiki's victory in the 1st bout of the Regiment was shown first in the anime. Makes sense since showing Souma's victory in the season finale is more fitting. Only one episode left and maybe they will announce another season at the end.

They kinda have to tbh. Otherwise the only thing would be useless, if they don't finish the RdC.

^Yep. He is. Either way, hopefully Megumi beats him and sets things right (about the hot spring inns).

So it turns out there was no wage, the owners of the Inns in this area are just too full of themselves.

And this is the first chapter all over again, and I love it : D
