Another question I have that I maybe I missed the explanation of, but how exactly was Tokimi's presence explained? What story did they give for a dimension hopping goddess to be in the Masaki household? Its not like she hides.

Seina Yamada (Tenchi Muyo GXP) and a little Kenshi Masaki (Tenchi Muyo: War on Geminar) will appear in the 4th and final OVA of the 4th season coming out on August 30th.

I'm so freakin' excited! I knew Seina and Kenshi would show up at some point before the 4th Season ended. I can't wait!

Think if we get a fifth OVA series it will be after the fourth OVA film? I was kind of annoyed we had to regress and see the wedding instead of focus on Tenchi and the main cast. I really want the next one to be on Tenchi and his cast.

It's nice to know will see a little bit on the other main characters from past Tenchi series though.

Well Kajishima said in his newest doujin that he is doing the storyboards for OVA 5 after the next GXP novel comes out in early 2018 and it will be starring Tenchi's children and Kenshi. Likely set before Kenshi was sent to Geminar. The eldest of the girls seem to be some where around 5 or so years younger than Kenshi so finally moving the OVA's into the 2000's.

Yes, he puts them out under the name Kajishima Onsen lately he's done a series called IF that show snapshots of the kids lives from birth tof adulthood and other things happening in the future .

Finally saw the final episode. Nice way to firmly connect the main series with GXP (the light novels) and sets things up for War on Geminar.

I'm being really picky about Ova's lately, I don't understand the point of setting things up for the series that's already aired.

If next Ova gets the green light to be animated I don't know if I want to check it out either. LOL Ova three fans complained too many characters, creator said " Screw you fans, will step it up a notch and add even more characters and focus on those instead"

I didn't need to see focus on Tenchi's dad either, they should have done that with Ova three, Ova four should have been about Tenchi getting married in my opinion.

Wished the sub version of Ep 4 was out.

In the mean time, I ended up rewatching War in Geminar because of this. Love that spinoff. Probably going to rewatch GXP too.

There is a sub out, and it's quite decent.

For a Tenchi finale, it wasn't really much of a Tenchi focus ending. Actually, this whole OVA series wasn't really Tenchi focused or the characters we love focused. There was no action to speak of and the comedy was quite tame.

Also, I was quite unhappy that they didn't show a teenage Sasami in this episode. I remember seeing her in the promo pictures, but not in this episode. In general, they really didn't give us a good feel of the original characters we love so much during the past 2 OVA series of Tenchi Muyo Ryo-ohki.

Well it has always been the scraps of what was cut from OVA 3. From the sounds of what Kajishima has said the next OVA will be set slightly before War on Geminar and will have the kids from the IF doujins.

What the heck....

Okay, I'm practically totally lost. This 4th ova definitely doesn't feel like its for me. First off, it doesn't have the same nuance that the first 3 OVAs had. I know Seina's events happened 2 years after the start of the 1st OVA, and this 4th OVA is after the beginning of GXP, but before the 17th(?) episode of GXP, or whatever episode featured the original gang. It doesn't seem like a lot of time had passed, but 4th Tenchi feels more like GXP Tenchi, whereas 3rd Tenchi felt more like 1st and 2nd Tenchi. And I'm not really feeling the GXP/4th depiction of Tenchi all too much. It certainly doesn't help that its not english dubbed, where its one of those "w/o the original VAs, the chars don't feel the same". It's quite possible that the nuance of the chars in english might have changed between series sets, but the nuance in japanese might be consistent throughout. So much so, I endured watching Ai Tenchi just to hear Petrea Burchard again. But my fault for not watching in japanese from the beginning of my binge-watch to get acclimated to the voices; fair enough, I think I can accept that.

But all of this new information.... chars being introduced... or not being introduced, like they've been a part of the[OVA] series this whole time makes me feel out of the loop. And if it weren't for the editor's notes the sub I'm watching added, I wouldn't understand who half of these characters are and their relation to one another. It literally feels like there's this huge gap of information that you're expected to know, and for people who only watched the OVA series/GXP, and no other media(novels/manga/etc) you're s--- out of luck for knowing who's who, and knowing the "why" enough to care.

I stopped shortly after the 2nd ep after the Minaho/Tenchi scene. The whole info drop about Airi and her planet kinda turned me away at that point. Not sure if I'll have the motivation to finish.

It seems the ova are more for the people that read the novels. Cause seina is already married. Tenchi is talking about it and there is already talk about sending Rancho to geminar. And paradise island is in development
