I just finished watching some episodes of zero no tsukaima but I didn't like it. The one's I've liked are more along the lines of shuffle, ef - a tale of memories and especially anime like kanokon. I like good romance anime for guys where the girl or girls indulge the guy or at least don't have him getting hit constantly or ordered around. I prefer if the story is from the male lead's point of view. I don't care much for shoujo ones and especially don't like the ones where the guys are of the "pretty" type. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Well if you've liked Kanon then it's only natural to recommend Clannad.

I'd recommend checking out Kimikiss ~pure rouge~. Sounds like you'd quite enjoy it.

Eureka 7, the best mecha romance ever.

Its manga is considered a shounen, so I guess it is.

I second this. Just hope the OP is in the mood for a 50 episode epic that isn't just romance focused, though the development between the two main characters is seriously one of a kind.

I saw clannad and it was kinda good. What I originally was looking for was an anime exactly like kanokon or at least close to it where the guy is indulged a lot instead of getting hit/ordered around a lot.

I've already seen all the ones mentioned so far. I'm even watching the ongoing Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaō/Demon King Daimao and Arakawa Under The Bridge but I was still looking for more. Maybe there isn't more but I would appreciate any suggestions. The main thing is just that it be from the male perspective and I prefer it to be where the girl/girls indulge the guy rather than beat or order him around.

I have to recommend "Kampfer" Its funny, theres action, and the lead gets indulged by three girls ^^

Well in kampfer he changes into a girl and that's not what I was looking for so I skipped that one.

I agree that put me off a bit, but get to around episode 4 and it perks up.

Well I do have B gata H kei but from what I've seen so far it seems to be told mostly from the girl's perspective. I was looking for anime that's told from the guy's perspective.

It's from a girl's perspective; but her perspective is what makes the series so great

. You should give a try regardless as her view is nothing like that of a typical shoujo lead's view.

Spoiler for Funny scene towards the end: I was actually in bits when the male lead got horny and his dick went up but instead of a dick it's like a little mini him, and it talked. yamada hit his thing and after a bit of recovery he got another boner and his little man said "revival" in a really deep small voice xDDDD __________________
