To come to the defense of the story thus far it might be good to remember that:

1. we have not seen how the full story will work itself out - we have another 1 or 2 eps to see. (Give it a chance! )

We saw the moment she was possessed. She definitely behaved that way before the possession in my opinion.

Hmm ... it's one thing to have an inclination and pre-disposition to behave a certain way and its another thing to have an extra element pushing you over the edge to do things you normal would not.... But I do agree that the spirit already had plenty of "raw material" to work with before it grabbed her!

So I guess I give her the benefit of the doubt. Ah well.

I wonder what the "hole in her heart" is due to. Maybe it has something to do with "tomodachi"? She got real nervous when she heard that word and ran away.

Somewhat good news for the anime, we will be getting an OVA bundled with the 14th volume of the manga



So will this be an actual OVA, or will it be just a 1 minute clip of a non important event just like the last DVD?

Well according to MAL

According to Weekly Shonen Sunday, an OVA of Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai will be bundled with the 14th volume of the manga. It will be released on September 16th. Chapters (47 - 49?) in the sixth volume of the manga will be animated.

Interesting so it's covering the mini Haqua arc.

I'm not to surprised that mini arc would be great for a season 3 opener but it really is only enough to fill an episode. It's better off to give it an OVA then have the swimming girl's capture as the season 3 opening if we do get a season 3.

Gack... I hope some nice Anerican company picks up this series and puts it up on disc for purchase... I really WANT to have it in my collection, to watch over, and over, and over, and not have to worry about if I am hooked up to the Internet or not!

Adding the OVA to the 2nd season would make it just PERFECT!

Honestly, if they wanted to do an OVA they would have been better off putting the swimming girl on it, since she isn't important in the overall scheme of things. Haqua's arc belongs in a season 3 if they make one.

Personally swimming girl's arc seems like the better opener, remember they had that little 8-bit thing at the start of season 2 summing everything up? Why open with something you need to have watched season 2 in order to get?

It's better marketing to open with an arc that will take an ep or two and can start off the season fresh to new people can watch with out getting confused.

Ayumi (The Athlete) - 7/10 It's the beginning, after all.
Mio (The Tsundere) - 7/10 But it's so taxing for Keima, though.
Kanon (The Yandere Idol) - 8/10 Hmmm, being a diva's lover is tough, but we have seen a lot of that IRL.
Shiori (The Silent Type) - 7/10 Just be silent and listen to her heart.
Kusunoki (The Fighter) - 8/10 If you can force her feminine side out of her the subtle way, the battle's pretty much won already.
Chihiro (The Average Jane) - 9/10 She could be anybody, after all.
Jun (The Student Teacher) - 8/10 The teacher-student gap lets most people down.
