Kinda like a surprise event that nobody prepared for.
On the other hand, I was kinda surprised about arthropodic type Faunus.
So could it be possible to have Lamias and harpies?

Now arriving at Station Episode 6...

So, high society in Atlas is basically like high society in every single other place. Just seems like Atlas has more of it than others do. Not a whole lot can really be done about that. Even if those people are knocked off their perches, there are plenty who will gladly fill their places in Atlas or elsewhere.

The one place where I disagree with Weiss in all of this is that she needs to realize that she comes from this high society of Atlas. The guy hitting on her and the other people at the party are clearly meant to be the worst of the society, but Weiss' anger and flipping out at them isn't quite the right avenue to take, I think. She knows damn well she at least *was* a lot like those people in the past, and she now should know why they're like that and why she has a markedly different outlook and opinion. Lashing out, while I sort of understand it, is not going to be terribly effective... as was clear from the scene. A military guy like Ironwood gets it. He's seen some stuff.

As for the thing with Ren talking about Oniyuri and Nora seeming "surprised," even if she was, I get the idea that Ren doesn't talk much about his past, even to Nora. There's a difference between being best friends/fellow orphans and actually telling people things you really don't want to talk about.

And, finally... great. More focus on Jaune. Please make it stop. It's inevitable. It's the irresistible force of RWBY. He and Ruby were clearly meant to be intertwined from the start. I just want to resist that for as long as possible until the writers stick the final dagger in my hope.

Ironwood getting the last word amidst a bunch of idiots sure seemed nice.
It was all in the signboard, and still that playboy didn't care to read. Asshole.

Jaune didn't seem scared to me when Tyrian sounded interested in him, more like confused of why.
Nice fight, Ren using the shield to help Jaune was a cool move.

And now, no new episode until New Year's Eve. Well, no problem to me

Well, given he specifically said he goes to such parties only for food, drinks & chicks, it's not surprising at all.

It's okay to be the accidental soothsayer (for Pyrrha destroying Penny), but making more accurate predictions in a fictional work tends to imply that the writing team is actually pulling from the prediction.

So i just watched the latest WOR episode and learn something interesting.
Turns out the Schnee Dust Company wasn't the evil corporation that it was in the past.
The company was first founded by Weiss' grandfather who was a son of a Dust Miner.
The Elder Schnee was a self made man who study and train hard and help revitalize Atlas' economy.
However when his health got worse, he was convinced by his future son-in-law and the Schnee siblings father, Jacques Julet, to let him take over SDC and married his daughter and join the Schnee family.
And that's when the SDC started becoming the Evil Corp it is now.

I wouldn't be surprised the reason Mrs Schnee is an alcoholic is due to her husband only marrying her for her father's company and how much of a greedy jerkass he is.

All in due time. I just noticed that might be Adam's broken sword she's holding.

It is Adam's broken sword, if Adam's bloody mask in her other hand is any indication, that is

Episode 7 is called "Punished", and it lasts 17 minutes.

I'm almost realistically believing that Ruby might lose an eye.

Because Punished Snake?
I hope not. It would be hard to take the next development seriously.

Episode 7:

So Oskar and Ozpin share memories to an extent. Oskar is also confirmed to be living in Mistral.

So Jacques... yeah he slaps Weiss in an argument and lets it slip to us that Winter has probably rebelled against the family by joining the military. She is now officially a prisoner in her own home if she wasn't one already.

He also... technically disowns her. Looks like Whitley is now de facto successor to the SDC. Given his reaction Whitley is now a conniving little Shitley. Weiss is on full escape mode now! I'm actually surprised Jacques let her keep (or Weiss probably just hid it) Myrtenaster knowing how rebellious she is. I'm also now completely convinced that their father is/was to some extent physically abusive, and probably a big reason why Winter left.

ALSO HOLY SHIT THAT FIGHT. A few jarring transitions here and there but that is probably the best post-Monty post-Vol2 choreographed fight of the series, too bad it was short. I'll eat my own shit now given my comments given the ridiculousness of Blake's fight in comparison. Whoever did that deserved mad props. Monty would be proud. If they can keep this level of action for the rest of the volume, improving in the process, then I foresee amazing action sequences in the future.

Too bad Qrow probably got poisoned before Ruby cut of Tyrian's tail. Dishwasher was 50% correct. There is also a high probability that Qrow will need to find Raven and their "tribe" for help, which means Ruby will meet her technical step mom. That's... kind of horrible when Yang can't even see her.

Edit - Tyrian called Ruby a bitch. Yep. So much for that kids rating!

Edit 2 - Watching it again... yep that's still majorly on Ruby for getting his uncle stung. She's, again, extreme in her fighting even trying to help her uncle when she lost her own Aura and thus getting him hurt in the process, which further proves her reckless behavior. At this point she's gonna have to really really learn that her gung-ho reckless wannabe hero behavior is getting people hurt and possibly killed.

Ozpin and Oscar's positions are quite similar to Oswald and Leo Baskerville from Pandora Hearts, at least until Ozpin reveals exactly how arbitrary the Wizard's power is passed around as compared to the Maidens.
