This was easily my new favorite New Testament volume possibly my favorite volume overall too.
Kakine was just great this volume, I was really iffy about the Rhinoceros Beetle but that turned out to be awesome in the end.
The collective will of the Misaka's talking to Accelerator was really cool, didn't see that coming at all. It's also now confirmed that all sisters have the hots for Touma.
Thor is now one of my favorite characters, can't wait to find out more about his "Almighty Thor" powers.
So glad to see Mugino isn't completely reformed because that had always seemed to have come out of nowhere to me.
Glad to see that Misaka can officially hold her own against a Saint.
Birdway is now officially Touma's little sister in my eyes. I still don't exactly like her but it's an improvement.
Was hoping for some info on "awakening" with Accelerator and Kakine fighting again but I'll get over that.
Cool to see Takitsubo using her power, even if it was unconsciously.
Anybody have any idea what Fremea's "Agitate Halation" is?

Well, Index never tried to kill him. By her own will, at least. Also, Touma is just not used to be looked after that way.

That really did come out of nowhere, but since it confirmed Touma's harem reaches the thousands, it's all cool.

So this is the second level 0 who can use a power (Tsuchimikado being the other). If level 0 powers are supposed to be so small they can't be seen with the naked eye shouldn't these two be at least level 1?

Level 1 Espers can activate their power consciously, level 0 can't.

Not only small, but also unreliable and hard to replicate.

Imagine Breaker being the exception of course.

If the info in the last pages is accurate, that power just makes things happen. It's basically a luck increasing skill, manipulation of probability, it cannot be seen.

I never got around to posting any thought on this volume while it was being translated, so I guess I'll talk about it all at once.

Starting at the beginning. I'm still annoyed that the Frenda revival cliffhanger was for nothing and resolved immediately. Mugino reacted exactly as I thought she would, but I'm disappointed it ended so quickly.
Seeing a certain Level 5 appear at a certain high school when Mikoto goes to visit makes me think that Mental Out is going to a bigger role soon. I didn't expect Uhiharu to show up in this volume at all. The banter between Silvia, Brunhild, and Leivinia was hilarious. I laughed every time they poked fun at Leivinia relationship with Touma.
On to the action portion. Actually reading the novel and having at better understanding of Kakine and the beetles he created, I am no longer angry about. I actually original thought the beetles were powered suits like the ones from World War 3. Accelerator hesitating over the sisters makes more sense knowing the stage Kakine setup. I having a better understanding of beetle #5 , makes how he took control of dark matter more reasonable.
I enjoyed the fights from this volume, it was seeing two level 5s team up and seeing Mikoto fight seriously again, using more then just electricity. Touma's fights were great too, since we got to see him using him Imagine Breaker more efficiently.
I still think using Dark Matter for completing the Gungnir is questionable, but overall I enjoyed it more they the previous few volumes and look forward to what happens next.

I personally think the next volume is going to focus on Academy City, and not Gremlin while preparations are make to complete Gungnir, and Ollerus spies on them.

I wonder what Thor would do now that he defected from Gremlin. It seems he spared Touma for sake of wanting Touma to becoming stronger so he can fight him in more even level I guess. Now I wonder what the next volume would be about.
