And yes, Signum looks too soft for someone who can break devices and chop (toughness enhaced) limbs appart with a sword xDU.

I know if I slack off for a day, I lose some tone. Being in competitive, fighting shape is a constant process. Moreover, a major injury isn't just that; it's a huge insult to your body's equilibrium and when it goes into recovery mode you lose just about everything for a while. After my accident, it took months after everything was healed to be able to run and jump, and I was lucky to get my full range of motion and shock absorbancy back at all. Signum is a badass who may or may not have a smidge of mutant healing factor left over, and Mid medical techniques are much better than what we've got, but I bet even she needs to retrain a little bit.

TL;DR: roll with it. She looks friggin' hot.
