It somehow seems like there's going to be a third TV anime. I've said it before in countless interviews and such, but when it first became an anime I felt like I'd used up my lifetime's share of good fortune, so after coming to have a second series and an OVA, as for this time I've truly been blessed so much it kind of feels like this isn't reality. My good fortune is thanks to all the fans who have continued to support "ARIA". I honestly and truly cannot thank you enough. Just as I have up to now, I'm looking forward, along with everyone, to this anime which Director Satou and the wonderful staff are creating for us.

Indeed, every time I read something from Amano it sound a lot like Akari... and it amuse me one of her close friends is Chiwa Saito (the V.A. for Aika).

I think it is. There are a few adaptations here and there, but it remains quite faithful imo. But to be honest, there isn't much that you can stray from.

I'm sure I've seen Amano art with Ai on it, but I'm also sure that she's an anime only character.

They all do. Their chins are a lot thinner than drawn before and their eyes are a mix between the eyes from Aria the Animation (more angular) and Aria the Natural (rounder).

Actually the style in Aria the Natural closely mimicked Amano's own style. Though I have to admit that I prefer quite a bit more the Animation style. I have a particular dislike of Amano's sideways look.

I know.

I liked the Animation and early Natural style the best. It's not until about like episode 14 of the Natural until the animation change becomes really noticable (I think, I'm quite tired so not thinking properly atm, but the eyes are definitely different slightly at the beginning when compared to the end of the natural).

Well, I loved it all, but still....tired. I'm just going to stop now.

I was talking about a total different impression about the character... Maybe I'm to used to the "aggressive" feeling of the usual Akira's Artwork (like in those http://forums.animesuki.com/showpost...&postcount=464).

I prefer to think that Aria the anime is based on Aria (and Aqua) the Manga. The differences / additions are enough for me to think of them as seperate concepts. Just like Ghost in the Shell.

As the others had indicated. Alice had been promoted to Prima straight from single. She is refered as the "orange princess" from chapter 55 onwards. The company was waiting for her to graduate from high school while Athena wanted to make sure that Alice had the confidence since she basically fulfil the other requirements. In the last test, she confidently sang a song for Anthena and passed the test. Read Navigation 55 and it'll answer all your questions.

maybe because Akari and Aika are still not good enough, We always know that Alice is the best rower between the trio (and she's a genius among other undines and her ability are above pair already) and she only lacks of social skills which I think that she could gain slowly.
I think that Akari still lack of focus (as we could see that she's easily distracted by anything that is interesting), and she sometimes row too slow. And she still need to learn many of the history of Neo-Venezia since she didn't came from there. Although I think that if Akari learned how to row the right way when she was still in Man-Home (not wrongly learn to row backward), she would easily become a great undine (which she was already, if she's rowing backward though -__-; )
And as for Aika we see that her rowing was some kind of the opposite of Akari rowing, whereas Akari gone too slow, Aika gone more fast than the average rowing speed that is probihited (if I'm not wrong this was shown in the manga, I forgot if the anime show this or not....This was shown when the trio was practicing with Akira). Even though so, I think Akari and Aika will get promoted into Prima not long after Alice

I guess that Akari doesn't have the rowing ability to get promoted quite yet and her knowledge of Neo-Venezia isn't quite as much as say Alice or Aika's. So she hasn't been promoted seeing as she doesn't know enough to act as a guide of sorts.

As for Aika, perhaps it's because she isn't quite up to scratch with her rowing either, even if she is better than Akari, she's not as good as Alice or any other Prima Undine. I can't imagine much else being wrong with Aika, since her knowledge is good enough. Perhaps her canzone skills aren't too good either, though that may not be necessary.

As much as I love ARIA, I pray that Akari, Ai, and Alicia would start cutting back on the sugar. Too much sweetness leads to diabetes. Diabetes makes people sour.

Besides that, felines are supposed to be graceful creatures. President Aria is an abomination, I tell you.
