Qatar probably paid enough money to get the mondial than either they will allow for the time of the even only or FIFA will get the loss.

Non-alcoholic beer tastes sooooooooooooo nasty x___x

The descriptions from those 4 people in that article describe the taste quite appropriately.

The last one I tried tasted quite good. If it wasn't for lack of alcoholic smell, I would not have noticed a difference.
Obviously, it was a german one.
Oh and I'm frequent beer consumer too. I suppose people who complain about non alcoholic beer, are just drinking bad ones?

Well I obviously haven't tried all the non-alcoholics as the first few brands I've come to contact with were terrible. I gave up hope xD. But I'm sure there's probably many varieties and taste differences with some that are decent.

Hopefully this guy's all right. At least his car wasn't found in the Aokigahara Forest...
Wait, this American businessman climbed Fuji in the winter?
.....Alone? .... Why?

He didn't wander into the dreaded Fuji forest before it, did he?
Only people who go to those forest are suiciders.

Fuji's relatively safe by world standard, but you still shouldn't climb ALONE.

School Rumble Anime Leads to Fine for Taiwanese TV Station

Surprisingly there isn't a generic thread for news stories associated specifically with anime and manga, so I thought I'd post this here instead.

Jiggling breasts, huh? I'm sure there's never been anime episode shown in Taiwan with jiggling breasts before!

I'm pretty sure the episode in question includes the visit to the back room in the video store owned by one of the boys' fathers. I think it's in the second season.

Edit - Yup, Season Two, Episode Eight

What's hypocritical about it?

I mean, if, say, they used specially slaughtered animals as compost to grow the vegetables they're going to eat, I could see where you're coming from (as long as they're vegetarians because of animal rights), but what's bad about ersatzs?

Hacktivists with the collective Anonymous are waging an attack on the website for the White House after successfully breaking the sites for the Department of Justice, Universal Music Group, RIAA and Motion Picture Association of America.

They should choose their target a bit more carefully. Universal Music Group, RIAA and Motion Picture Association of America are one thing ( I doubt than the RIAA would get much sympathy from the public after the attack) but to attack gouverment site is just asking for retaliation.

Mock meat is created for vegetarians who desired to taste meat. But vegetarians aren't supposed to taste meat because they believe it is cruel to kill animals for food.

The idea of eating meat is to eat something that comes from another living thing, and philosophically, to desire it is a near-sin (or so a devout Buddhist relative tells me). Now isn't eating mock meat consider to indulge in that desire?

Regarding ersatz, mock meat shouldn't be so. Ersatz is substitute food created out of necessity; to be consumed for survival. Mock meat isn't.

I usually do better with faux-meat if I don't pretend its meat. Sometimes I'll put veggie patties on top of meat

I think in western thought it is the act of killing the animal that is evil, but actually desiring to eat meat is not (for one thing, it's rather hard to avoid).

As for Buddhism, Buddha said that it was wrong to kill an animal, but it wasn't wrong to eat an animal after the fact.

What? "tainted her 5 year old daughter?" How? did she tried to mimic the "jiggling: inside their house?

Man, she's good in getting financial assistance for her mental problems.

Well, seriously, it's the networks problem. If the network did violate something in regards for censorship.. then that is the case... Pay her..

It is wrong to eat an animal for them technically because it has to die to feed you.

In the non-vegetarian versions of Buddhism and Taoism, preparation of meat has to be done properly, especially if it is an offering to the gods. Since Chinese New Year is coming up here is an example : the chicken to be offered to the gods cannot have a silt on the throat since it is an unclean death, nor can it be bludgeoned to death because it is considered cruel.

So how do we kill it? By breaking its neck. Squawk. Funny customs if you ask me.

LOL, kosher and halal meat is killed exactly that way. Jewish and Muslim meats are incompatible with Buddhist meats, and vice versa.
