I'm pretty sure they're just very good with Japanese. Feel free to get jealous....if that's the case and rejoice if there is a site with depth summaries.

You've guess right. We've all played the game. I'm just late to the party.
The website Sushi-Y posted is a great collection of theories and facts throughout the game. Although it's all in Japanese. Some of the observations/theories are just hilarious tho~

I'm so glad Higurashi doesn't have its own "Moonlit world", otherwise the forums would be plagued with idiots that think they have the right to spoil the game for others because they "know".

Question

While I opening up the nscript.dat in the later half of the games, I found this line:
トミー&クラウドの贈り物

What is this? The award for Rena-Pan?

Is there any way for a non japanese reader to really get the most out of the games?
Mainly as I am crap at japanese, I started doing a course alongside my uni one (bad idea) and also my teacher only was at the first level on the japanese profiecent test........also he insisted on teaching us it in romanji first. (opps sorry going into rant -_-).

Anyway, even if I did learn japanese with a better teacher now, its going to take me ages to catch up ;_;

Oh just one quick (non emo ranting) question, did satako and the others ever find out about satoshis body being found at the begining of episode 9 of the anime, in the game?

I think it's called a Japanese-English dictionary. ^^;

Or you can go here, if you just want to search for kanji words:
http://www.kanjidict.com/demo/frame.html

But if you don't even know hiragana and katakana, then you're probably better off starting here:

I just finished reading Tsumihoroboshi-hen, but one thing still didn't clear up on me.

Why did that white van try to run over K1?

Ohhhh thanks.

So I'm guessing there isn't a definite answer?

Matsuribayashi-hen (SPOILERS GALORE - DO NOT READ)

Well, it is almost the fateful third day of Comike, and the countdown is to make a mad dash to the West Hall booth あ54ab to get yours hands on the final chapter of Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni and Tasogare Frontier's Higurashi Daybreak.

...well, that's for some people. I've decided to pass off this year's Comike - getting too tiresome for me. I decided I'm gonna be lazy this year, so I pre-ordered at Toranoana.

In any case, I'm sure some of you here will get Matsuribayashi-hen one way or the other (which I won't discuss).

So why not make a thread out of it? Some of us kept the lid on everything for a long time - we'll definitely need a place to blow off our id once we go through the final chapter.

Several notes:

IF YOU ARE READING THIS THREAD AND DON'T LIKE TO READ SPOILERS, DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER. YOU TAKE YOUR OWN RESPONSIBILITY FOR READING THIS THREAD

Comments such as "I'm too lazy to learn Japanese or buying the game is a drag, so gimme gimme" will be deleted.

I just have a quick question before I probably never come to this thread again, but what does Minagoroshi and Matsuribayashi mean?

Minagoroshi is slaughter. I'm unsure about Matsuribayashi, so I'd rather avoid giving you wrong info

By the way, I was thinking : it would be best to keep the comments in Japanese (at least the meaningful parts, to turn off potential people actually just *looking* to be spoiled.
