Mounting wall scrolls?

I recently acquired several wall scrolls, but haven't the darndest clue how to make use of the plastic hooks that slide around the top of each scroll. For the time being, I've tied the hooks close together with string so I can hook them up onto a wall, but I think there's meant to be a better way to do it.

Well, if you are allowed to, you can drill some small holes in the walls and insert screw anchors and screws. It's a simple job and can be done be a single person.

Try knocking two nails into the wall (or you can buy hooks that stick to the wall as well) at the upper corners of the scroll and hang the hooks on them

Yeah I used the dual picture hook approach.

I tie a string to the two hooks and just hang the string on a picture rail hook. If your house doesn't have picture rails, a tack, screw or nail will work just as well.

They don't come with like a thick string anymore these days? Even then, you can attach some thick string to the hooks. Maybe.

Depends. Only one of mine has to date. I guess it's standard not to.

How about mounting these kinds of stuff (though I know that it's out of topic).

Unfortunately, I'm renting my current residence, so anything that involves hammering or drilling things into the walls is out.

The bad thing I noticed with tying string to the plastic hooks is that if I try to use a long length of string, as soon as I hang it up, the hooks slide together, and it's all wrong.

If i am not mistaken, aren't these kind of things like similar to cards but much larger in size? I don't think you are suppose to hang these up unless you are using something as an appropiate sized picture frame.

Don't mount those. Either laminate them or frame them. Well, you could frame then mount. :3

The way I do it is that I buy thumb tacs, I use clear tacs since my wall is white, and i just hang the plastic hook sliders onto those. I imagine black thumb tacs would't lok like an eye sore either sicne it would blend in with the usual black colored plastic ends of the wall scrolls.

If you can't use nails, then you can try to use a door coat rack instead. Eventhough you won't be hanging a lot of wallscrolls this way, unless your room has lot's of doors.

This reminds me to go on and buy a picture frame - for a Gunbuster poster.

I find these kind of items somewhat too expensive (and sometimes too rare) to laminate incase you mess up.

I think those nanoha cards are similar to this what i have. So i know that those things are pretty fragile.

edit: lighting is still horrible in my room for a decent photo

I use the adhesive hooks method myself, but they can fall after a while, I found using contact cement works to solve that problem, but let them dry overnight before hanging the scroll on them.
