But Nanoha just learned just the function of a Relic less than an hour ago, and it's not like TSAB's Science Department really understood how they worked either unless SS03 or SS04 is going to show them learning that shooting a huge stream of magical beams at a Relic will somehow remove it from its container safely before it shatters.

What if the Relic blows up inside Vivio from the overburst of magical energy or something? It was entirely possible.

One could say that Relics are awefully similar to Jewel Seeds in the aspect that was shown to Nanoha, in which case Nanoha already had field experience in dealing wih the problem.

Except that they've pretty much stated that Relic is pretty unorthodox as far as crystallized energies go, and that little is properly known about it.

So it cannot be simply taken as just a similar kind to Jewel Seed either.

Though to use a more accurate comparison, this scenario looks awefully similar to how Hayate was saved in A's, and a Relic's power pales in comparison to that.

In the end of the episode, the cradle has a final card up its sleeve ans screws up the casts magic to boot. It's like Thunderbirds. As soon as things look alright, everything starts to go wrong again.
