And yet another bump!

Great news, guys! The first chapter is out (though not in English yet). You can check it out here! Also, there's an earlier spoiler summary of the first 20 pages:

Okay, first things first: Our new protagonist's name is confirmed to be Percival. As for that big guy from that color page? His grandfather. It looks like the both of them have been living with just each other for some time. The gramps tells Percival that his 16th birthday is coming up, and shares with him tales of the world outside their homeland, God's Finger. Interestingly, one of those lands outside of God's Finger is the floating island that's home to the Celestials.... aka the Goddess clan. And below their home lies the land of Britannia, which is bristling with mystery and adventure! Some of said mysteries include (credit goes to MH's FKS for the translation):

A twirled tower inhabitated by a mage who closed their heart...
A knight steering a phantom sea boat that flies in the sky...
A giant cave with countless windcaves that go to Hell...
An evil lady of the lake that entices and imprisons heroes...
A knotty forest from where you can never get out once you get lost there...

^However, Percival doesn't really seem to care about that stuff. He's just happy hanging out with grandpa....

Hmm... Percival, eh? Does this mean the Holy Grail will feature at some point....?

The second half of the chapter involves the arrival of the mysterious enemy knight teased in the early preview sketches. He approaches Percival's grandfather, and immediately attacks him!!! Apparently, it's because gramps was branded a traitor to his old master. Percival arrives and tries to stop the carnage, but it's no good..... the mystery knight is too powerful. After wrecking the both of them, the knight mentions something else interesting: An omen that foretells of the four people who will topple his lord, King Arthur. These four are none other than the titular Four Knights of the Apocalypse!!!! We don't know exactly who they are, though.....

After the knight leaves, the dying grandfather reveals the man's identity to his grandson: His name is Ironside, and he's none other than PERCIVAL'S FATHER!!!!! As he takes his last breath, the grandfather calls Percival his "hope"..... before departing the world of the living. Later, after burying him, Percival dons his grandfather's belongings, and sets off on quest to find his father.....!!!

He's like Meliodas, I do hope there will be a connection between the Seven Deadly Sins to this.

Percival is 16 and he looks like he's 10 at best. Guess we've got another manlet protagonist.

Although their name is foreboding, the Four Knights will be the good guys since Percival is strongly hinted to be one of them. The others will be Tristan, Lancelot (he makes perfect sense given his role in the legend) and whoever King and Diane's kid is.

I wonder how much time has passed since the end of NNT.

No proper summary yet, but from what I can make out, Percy (yep, I'm shortening the name like with Mel) climbs down from God's Finger, and soon reaches Britannia! And shortly after his descent he runs into that fox(?), which doesn't seem to understand the human tongue. Soon, the critter runs from Percy, and upon giving chase, he runs into a group of three people! If I'm not mistaken, they're a troupe of magicians/entertainers. After some introductions, it looks like they agree to take the boy to the nearest village. However, upon reaching the village, they discover not all is well, as it's being terrorized by a gigantic wolf! Percy steps forward to face the beast, but as the wolf attacks him, the boy gets shielded by one of the troupe! As the man (name's something like Donny/Donnie) lays hurt, the wolf strikes again..... only to get its paw caught by Percy. He then instantly takes out the pooch with a single slap to the face! As the villagers praise their savior, a figure surveys the situation from the outskirts.... the red fox. As it turns out, the fox is Ironside's familiar, who he's using to keep tabs on his son.....!!!!

In regards to the bold, another possible candidate could be the next inheritor of Sunshine (Escanor's reincarnation, perhaps?). I'd also like to say Morgan le Fay, but.... well, let's wait and see if she actually shows up in the story first, heh.

Anyway, I do think it would make for an interesting twist if Arthur is actually the villain in this one. It wouldn't be strange to consider that he eventually got corrupted by the power of Chaos, I think. Or perhaps he's under the influence of Cath Palug after consuming him, though I still think that sorta counts as form of Chaos corruption.....

Unless he's acting without/against orders, I'd say Ironside's behavior pretty much tells us Arthur is corrupted. Not to mention every shounen needs an antagonist stronger than the last, and Arthur by now should be the strongest being around.

I just read Chapte 1.

@Kanon: Him saying that the Four Horsemen would lead King Arthur to his doom makes me think Arthur is going to be an enemy. But something could still be amiss. It could be that not everything is as it seems.

It's still a vague story, but my expectation is either they will lead him into delivering a doomsday, or King Arthur will also become a victim.

After taking down the wolf, Percy bathes with Elba (the lone girl from the troupe). Naturally, the lad takes this time to grope the maiden! Afterwards, the both of them rejoin the villagers as they throw a party for their saviors. Percy asks the villagers about Ironside, but it seems they never heard of him, either. It's at this point that a new presence makes themself known....

The knight from last chapter suddenly appears! As it turns out, this guy is NOT Ironside, but a Black Knight named Belgard (or maybe Bergard?). It seems this guy DOES know something about Ironside, at least. Katz (the troupe leader) tries to confront him, but he gets smacked out of the way! Naturally, Percy doesn't take kindly to this. He takes on Belgard, and is able to hold his own against the enemy knight..... for a bit. However, he's soon caught in Belgard's clutches, and is dealt a devastating blow! At this point, we see the mysterious fox watching the battle from a distance..... and at the same time, a new power awakens from within Percival.....!!?

^It's not so much that he's a perv, he's just very.... innocent, or naive, if you will. Again, think of Goku in early DB; he grew up in the mountains with just his grandfather, no other outside human contact, so he didn't know that women are.... built differently. This is pretty much the exact same case here, lol. BTW, apparently Elba gets shocked later on when she learns Percy's actual age (at 16, he's technically an adult despite his appearance! ).

And yes, that ending is quite curious, indeed. Definitely looking forward to seeing what his newfound powers are....

lol, the way I saw Elba's reaction is like... She thought Percy was a brat but turns out he's the same age as her.

Okay, a translation's out for the chapter (not the best, but acceptable, at least). So, the Black Knight is indeed familiar with both Ironside and Bargis (Percy's gramps). What's more, he's interested in making Percy his pupil! That kinda makes it seem like this guy's not a villain, but I do find it highly questionable that he sent that wolf monster to attack the village. I mean, that beastie probably would have slaughtered everyone there if Percy's group hadn't come along....

Anyway, Black Knight's tutelage or not, it is looking like the story is leading towards Percy becoming a holy knight in the future. Perhaps having a veteran knight as a master would mean the troupe will have a second chance at becoming knights themselves (or at least Donnie, in particular). At the very least, they can use magic, even if their powers are weak. And on that subject, I've seen some speculation elsewhere that Percy's new powers may be something he inherited from an archangel! Not necessarily Sunshine (it doesn't look like he gets weaker at night anyway), but one of the other powers (Flash, Tornado, Ocean). Come to think of it, it would be pretty interesting if all four Knights of the Apocalypse were to inherit an archangel's power (of whom there were also four of, remember).....

Looks like Arthur's knights will be color themed. This dude is black, and Ironside is red.

I hadn't noticed the similarities Percival has with Goku until you mentioned it. Lived in total isolation with his grandpa, is super strong, and here we had his first interaction with a women which was similar to Goku noticing Bulma had no balls. Both are also really short for their age (Goku was still super short when he was 16), which makes me hopefully Percival will go through a growth spurt.

Though he's confused by his newly awakened power, Percy still uses it to blast away the Black Knight! However, the enemy knight counterattacks with his own magic: A fireball that he can freely control! Percy attempts to parry the attack, but the flames converge upon him, setting the boy ablaze.....!!!

As Percy's being burnt to a crisp, I believe the Black Knight tells him to admit defeat. However, in the middle of his gloating, he discovers a creature resembling a miniature Percy crawling on his arm.... and several more clinging to his body. It turns out that Percy's magic can create golems! The golems cause him to lose concentration, thus lifting his flame spell on Percy. The boy seems to be badly burned..... but suddenly, his whole body starts glowing, and his wounds are healed! This further shocks the Black Knight, who notes the various types of magic that exist, such as destruction, curses, degeneration, and recovery. However, Percy seems to wield a rare type of magic only possessed by every one in 10,000: Hero Magic!!!! I think the Black Knight considers the possibility of Percy being one of the prophesied Knights of the Apocalypse before the kid steps up to him, knocks his block off, and declares his victory!!!

Did we hear about the various types of magic in the previous series? Hero magic apparently allows you to use any type of magic, but it probably does something more too.

^No, the last series never really explored magic in much detail. We knew it counted towards a person's overall power level, but that was about it, I think. It looks like the sequel may change that, though!

Yeah, it's good that the sequel looks like it might go into magic in more detail.

And it's curious to me how Ironside seemed to consider the Four Knights of the Apocalypse a problem to eliminate, while this one thinks Percy being one of them makes him too valuable to die.

I think I want Percy being trained by this guy. Though like Marvel said earlier, it's not good that he had that monster attack the village.
