Well... i'd focus on being a good (or the best) Eishi...
Since i find this soo interesting, i'd give my all.
(That means i'll die early, i guess)

So i'd maybe join the South American TSF force or (if they have none) go to the united states, since it's the closest place with a TSF combat force.

Or maybe i'd be a TSF enginner, since thats what i am (Automation engineer)
This proffession might give me more time to live lol

In a perfect world, Raptors for all normal folks, and Terminators and Black Widow IIs for Orbit Divers.

I should note that in TSFiA, Sandek's student, a guy who he trained and outclassed, is able to beat him in DACT using a Berkut that's not quite fully setup, while Sandek is using the Scarlet Twins' Terminator. Berkut is one helluva monster. In CQC it could probably beat the Raptor.

And there are hints Sandek is thinking of letting Yuuya try out the Berkut...

But for me, I'd like the Hornet. Fast, light, a real joy to fly.

The Raptors strength is it's manouvring speed and stealth cruising. It isn't designed necessarily for frontal engagements, relying upon cloak and dagger tactics.

That said it's still a monster in terms of power of all Second Generation TSFs and even the Shiranui. The pilot has a lot to do with it as well is fair to say.

Agreed. It's an aggressive hunter, relying on ambush and hit-and-fade tactics. Strike hard, strike fast, fade away. If you're in a frontal engagement with the Raptor, you're in a suboptimal situation.

Really, if they hadn't needed to escort the precious cargo, and if not for certain things, I'm quite sure the Hunters would have slaughtered Sagiri's forces.

I would say that the advanced TSFs would need mechanical support and constant resupplies. Who would you ally with, or which country would you work for, to be able to pilot your dream TSF?

considering that it was an requirement for the ATSF contestant to achieve electronic stealth. the raptor would be ideal for shoot and scoot long range ambush or harassment before disappearing. the yf-23 would be more of the ninja stealth melee back stab machine.

Something that I was thinking about, reading Apache, Ed Macy's memoir of his 2nd Afghan tour with No. 656 Squadron. What does a TSF pilot's survival gear consist of? Because it doesn't seem like much...

Macy writes that in his Apache, his main survival gear was stored in a rucksack under his seat, and consisted of several hundred rounds of 5.56mm ammo (in magazines), several mags of 9mm pistol ammo for the Browning Hi-Power, grenades (strictly non-regulation for safety reasons), medical supplies, water and MREs, and he had an L22A1 carbine (carbine variant of L85A2 rifle) in a storage rack beside his leg, in easy reach. The nose portion of the Apache would also carry a duffel bag containing tent and more water, food and ammo, though Macy's preferred load was to reduce food for more ammo.

Contrast that to poor Yui, who only had a pistol in her Zuikaku...

...on the other hand most TSF pilots have a tendancy to get NOMMED before they have a chance to eject

Question: Do we really need a TSF to survived in a BETA infested world? Talk about source of fuel and ammo guys.

Who knows americans have always been known to value the lives their soldiers. Try to find another example that has no relation with the american mind set, I mean the zuikaku is japanese designed(kinda) and built not american

At least you have a slight chance in a TSF to outrun Tank-class and Soldier-class mobs if you want to run away.

The point is to run away, not to fight them. Leave the fight to stupid brave people.

I personally want to know what anti-beta weapons comes with free and unlimited ammo as well as fuel. Mankind will need them. lol.

Oh well, as long as the XG-70 is mass produced, seizing hives will be much easier. As long as it doesn't malfunction midway or gets sabotaged.

Joining up the Army and becoming a Surface Pilot is a survival tactic as well.

That and everyone living on the frontline will be drafted once they're 15. So it's not like everyone has an Army-free career option.

Well a TSF is more flexible than a tank and a supersonic a/c(aircraft) and in a BETA world battlefield where situations change immediately you'd want a weapon that can answer all types of dangers though I half to say If a BETA world have a stark industries sign me up for an iron man suit!!!
