It can be either Shadow Metal from Saten's rumor that is created when a lot of powers clash.
Or Mitori's Liquid Metal that could have helped her to control Mikoto.

Personally, I am hoping for Shadow Metal, it could really make things interesting for next arc.
( For the sake of science, Saten, come and confirm what it is! )

well apperently the dragon with ease crashed the power ball of level6 ^^ so its still a mystery of how strong that thing is... but is Aliester is soo interested in it... it must be strong the "released full power and not power leak"

other question is... is this the real deal or the power just took a physical form so others could see it with eyes but the real deal is still invisible...

damn wished the raw would show up sooner ^^ one of the more interesting chapters in a while...

Mikoto's power ball most likely contained "natural" stuff or broken laws (like in Othinus case)
IB can't cancel natural stuff and it malfunctions when the laws of the world change.

Think of it this way - it looked like a "black hole" and what we know of black holes?
Near the event horizon you have frictional heating that causes heat strong enough to emit X-rays (natural stuff that will surely tear (melt) your arm)
And after the event horizon you have undescribable laws, under which IB can't work.

As for Aleister: rather than "sheer power" he might be interested in the properties of IB.

I think the "invisible" is a metaphore.
It is related to the fact it comes out only at certain occasions, aside to those it is always hidden.

What I had on my mind is that on one ocation it manifests itself as a dragon that other see... and in other ocasions like with fiamma or othinus it has no shape but is still there as invisible thing

here according to spoiler mikoto and gunha were able to see the dragon with their eyes... hmm I wonder if deep inside of touma might be another power (the invisible thing... next dragon and IB... so generally 3powers with IB holding other 2)

And I'm pretty sure that the black filth is still iron sand...

I still have to wonder what Gunha's criteria are for determining what has guts and not...
