[Manga] The Original Concept for 'Rasengan'

So.. the original idea for the Rasengan was that the Fourth wanted to combine Normal Chakra with Elemental Chakra.. Now I don't recall reading in the manga that the Fourth was blessed with Wind Affinity in his chakra.. Am I wrong? But if the original idea for this was combining Element Chakra to the Rasengan ball couldn't other Elements be applied like Fire or Lightning?

The Yondaime Hokage couldnt mix them together..and it doesnt matter what element that is. Afterall...its common that Jounins can use atleast 2 elements...and i think Kage LvL fighters can use 3 or more...

And Naruto has already progressed more then Kakashi and the 4th so far..
And he has now less then 24 hours to complete it. It almost feels like they are underestimating the difficulty of it.

But 3 kage bunshins for 1 jutsu seems....so stupid.

Would it be right in comparing resengan with Asuma dagger's? any chakra type can be added to them/it, but different chakra types will result in a different effect. As in to say the shape would be different and also the power/force of the attack would be different?

Not really, as he both physically and elementally manipulates the chakra that flows through it. Rasengan is nothing but physical recomposition. An element is what's actually missing. Asuma's is more like Chidori in the sense that elemental recomposition serves as the basis, then psysical recomposition is applied to form the jutsu. Range, shape and everything required to make a complete jutsu out of it.

Not to mention, it's only compatible with Wind apparently. Plus, if it wasn't, it'd be quite useless anyway since applying Wind is the only way to take advantage of its ability.

It can be applied other ways. Shikamaru has applied Shadow (yin-yang) chakra to Asuma's blades and he uses them to extend his Kage justu abilites. I don't see why the Rasengan couldn't use other elements as well.

I always touhg that Asuma Chakra blades only had Elemental recomposition, and did not had Shape Recomposition, and that the Shape and Range was part of what the Chakra blade were supposed to do.

Could you explain this a bit further?

LOL... yeah that's the only possible name for the new rasengan, which i'm 99.9% sure it'd be called that. Or what else could it be called..? if so it'd be something pretty outrageous.

Im going with what I made up a WHILE back when it was first revilead that Naurto had wind chakra element, Kazesengan, Kazenosengan, Kaze no Rasengan. "Spiraling Sphere Wind" or "Spiraling Sphere of Wind"

Though, now that I see the new title of the Anime I think the new anime will be connected to the new Anime title. I will also guess these names, Shippusengan, Shippu Rasengan, Shippu No Sengan, or Shippu No Rasengan. Basically "Spiraling Sphere Hurricane" or "Spiraling Sphere of Hurricane"

Also, how SWEET would it be if Naruto invented a new combo, using the Taijutsu + Wind Element Manipulation he learend and called it "Shippu Rendan", "Hurricane Combo" *Drools*

Easy.

Without shape manipulation, converting chakra to an element is useless. Raiton would just be randomly flowing around in all directions. Water would just drop down. Fire would just burn. Shape manipulation is needed to control these elements and give them some sort of purpose.

It seems Asuma controls the shape and range of the chakra that comes out of the blade. He can either use it as trench knife or a sword. It's pretty much just as Kakashi explained about his own Raikiri. Converts charka to Raiton, then uses shape manipulation to concentrate this power and assume form, scope, range and whatnot.

I don't know how your eyes work rch but when I read something its rather hard to unread it, if it had spoiler tags or manga tags in the first place I wouldn't have looked at the thread.

In other words are you saying that an Chakra Elementally Shaped is useless and have no Purpose of Attack whatsoever?

I don't want to sound skeptical about it, but I don’t believe that, and more when Kakshi said that a lot of skill is needed to Alter Your Chakra Both Elementally and In Shape, and that only a few Shinoby are able to do both. and also, that he said that Just by altering your Chakra elementary it can be used in real combat

You could be right, but I’m not convinced about your explanation.

Actually, considering the post time skip Naruto will be called Naruto: Hurricane Chronicles, it may be called hurricane rasengan. He's probably gonna whip out a ton of wind based stuff like hurricanes, etc

A bit off topic: Almost forgot that jounins use 2 or more elements. Which means Naruto must have 1 more affinity for Jounin level. I wonder what it is. Fire perhaps due to the kyuubi.
