You spoke one chapter early. Chap 126 has quite strong evidence that she is slowly changing her views on Koh, especially based on what Koh said to Akane in the middle of the chapter.

Whoa it felt like "fate" that brought Akane to Koh's place. A rarity in Adachi's works.

Yeah I believe Aoba is changing his views on Koh. But not much.

Every time I see Akane and Koh together and when Koh always talks about Aoba, I feel like its never gonna be Koh x Akane.

Well, wasn't Waka's dream to be only of Koh standing on the pitcher's mound of Koshien? AFAIK, it wasn't him winning it.

Maybe this will be a departure from other Adachi mangas, where the main character only ends up in Koshien rather than actually winning it. If that really is the case, then ending PII now is on pace if they're really having PIII end when they lose at beginning rounds of Koshien.

I am hoping that crossgame is different from H2. Even though the ending of H2 was not to the liking of many people, It was consistant.

Hikari only desire through the whole show was that she wanted someone to "NEED" her. Neither of the two guys needed her. She loved one and she was with the other out of obligation for the whole series. It was not till the very end that someone actually needed her and had to beg her to stay with him.

In Crossgame Aoba desire can only be granted by Kou. she wants a guy that can pitch for 160 KM/H. Neither of the other candidates has a chance because the only one that is a pitcher is Kou.

If you think about it, all the manga from Adachi have the same thing. IT is the guy that can grant the girl her desire, the one that end with the girl. Katsu was another example. The female lead wanted to become the best at boxing, but because she couldn't compete with men, she ended with the man that could grant her dream even if it was by proxi.

Even Miyuki had the same theme, It was a scary one that one. Miyuki desire was the love of her "oniichan".

True. For that matter, they don't have to make it to Koshien in high school to fulfill the dream, either. There are pro games at Koshien, too. . .

Hiro didn't need hikari thus why she didn't end with him. It was hideo the one that told hikari that he needed her. It was Hideo that one that came up with the bet about the final game. At the end Hideo back up from the bet and hikari stayed with him because he needed her.

I just noticed they showed them at the Koshien at the beginning of the anime.

Does anyone know when the manga will finish? Pretty soon I suppose?

PS: I think Akane is at the Koshien not for Koh but for Akaishi.

Well since this is Koh's last chance to get into Koshien it's likely not going too last too long unless Adachi plans on continuing the series after Koshien if he wants to keep developing Koh and Aoba relationship. Don't see them ending up together anytime soon with Aoba keep thinking of Wakaba in back of her mind with the whole "you can't have him" comment from her sister and then there's Akane as well.

And about the beggining of the anime not sure if that's possible with Aoba playing in the game when the manga stated that she can't play in regular games because she's a girl. Guess the anime will go with an original ending with Aoba somehow ending up playing in Koshien.

BTW anyone wanna guess if Akane will be fine or not... got a bad feeling here. Don't know what her parents wanted when the Doctor said "is that what you want". Maybe she's being transferred to another hospital?
