Girls'Work (Typemoon x ufotable original animation project)
Official Website has launched;
http://www.girlswork-animation.com/ Script/Storyboard: Hoshizora Meteor Character Design: Takenashi Eri Here is what I got from Takeuchi during F/Zero interview- it is rough, and localised: ----- Q: What is the reason for making this anime project instead of game released that was promised? A: As we are planning, we started to think that this work will be more suited for animation. Of course, we never considered animation to be simple project -- we actually thought it will have much higher standard--, animation was the first thing we thought of which is needed in order to show 100% of this work's charm. At that time we had to choose either making game that 'looks like' animation or make the entire medium as animation. After that, we thought that animation will be the ideal medium to face our works in direct way. ---- Long word short, this will be Typemoon animation original project.

It's called Girls'Work, not Girl's, haha. Weird titles ahoy!
Anyway, I'm looking forward to this. I've never read anything from Meteor, but I know a couple of people who have and they got nothing but praise for the guy. The fact he himself also seems to think that the animated version of this is for the best fills me with hope we're getting another fantastic title here. That said, I'm also happy with the change of plans since now it's almost guaranteed we're actually getting it. With T-M's recent track record of delaying stuff, god knows when they'd have Girls'Work ready for release. Which reminds, two years ago when this was announced this description popped up: Quote:

Forest is a visual novel that Umineko is 'inspired' by. (Read: Umineko is a complete ripoff.)
I don't exactly know much about it, but I hear it's an absolute trip to read due to the layered, heavily metafictional narrative. |

It may have come off as unintended, but making such a claim first and then saying that you have no personal knowledge to back if on comes off as extremely hilarious from a logical POV.

What I mean to say is that I know Umineko stole a lot of elements from Forest. However, I know little about Forest itself other than those stolen elements. |

Latest mention from Ufotable: "Don't worry, we haven't forgotten about Girls' Work, we are steadily making progress".
