I don't think I've seen very many series here that get their own section before it starts airing.

It rarely happens. Does anyone know when the episode will air?

Anticipation builds. I can't ever recall being so eager to watch an anime. Ever. Only time I've felt this way was the countdown to Mass Effect 3.

I'll be checking this out simply because I see it everywhere. Hope it's good, it's the only summer series I'll be following

Aye, same. But I'd personally refrain from voting until I've seen the proper release of the episode. I know exactly what's going to transpire (as do many others, I'm sure), but that hasn't made me any less excited about the anime.

All that anticipation.. and then we got hit with that ending. :/

I'm doing my very best to contain my excitement, but I'll most likely squeal like a little girl once the first episode airs. Similarly to you, I also can't recall the last time I was this enthusastic to watch something. I'm sure I'll probably re-watch the first episode a few times just to let it all sink in.

I can recall the last time I had such enthusiasm; that was for Aquarion EVOL, unfortunately. That didn't work out terribly well, as anybody who's seen it knows. >.> At least it ended well enough, as far as the main couple getting together is concerned anyway.

Not that I'm overly comparing SAO to EVOL, of course. Different studios and staff.

Since Crunchy doesn't allow Malaysian viewers, I'll have to... improvise. And accept/come to terms with the fact that I am going to most likely be a day behind everyone, again. Which is at least somewhat better than when I was watching Macross Frontier - I was about a week behind everyone else. After that it just built up my resistance to spoilers.

I'm... actually in a state of ME3 fatigue - I have the extended cut, but I've kinda given up on playing it and finishing. I kinda feel a bit tired of everything. After running through the endings three times, I'm too fatigued with ME.

Well, there's always Ghost Recon: Future Soldier and Spec Ops: The Line, aka Heart of Dubai: Sandpocalypse Now.

I actually squeed during the trailer. Like I said, it was all grimdark and depressing, Yamadera was playing Kayaba as if Togusa had gone all nihilistic hammy GitS villain, people dying, things looking so grim... and then the OP kicked in and everyone was being badass.

I have a friend who's also eagerly waiting for this. The last time he was so enthusiastic for anything, it was for Gundam SEED and Persona 3.

Haha, I know that feel, bro, and I know it well. CR has only recently started streaming shows to Ireland. Uh huh, members who don't have a premium account have to wait a week until they can watch the show.

Hopefully the pilot episode will have the same effect on us both then.

But yeah, 26 minutes left as of this post ~

Before panic cames confusion and denial...

Damn, that game developer fits into the mad scientist category, the guys is sick...

Poor guys those who logged out in time record.

But I seriously I laughed hard when the little girl character turned out to be a guy while still using his previous looks as female character .

And Kirito... from manly looking avatar to girly-looking face .____.

Guys, the game just started.

Just finished the opening episode -- the art and animation are both really appealing, and the tone was suitably dark despite the unbelievably maniacal mad scientist. In either case, in terms of setting the stage for the on-going story, it's certainly done now. Despite the dark constrains, though, this was just a prologue, and I trust (based on the OP at least) that the whole show won't be so grim. The death toll after the OP was rather ominous for sure.

Anyway, good opening.
