Nagisa voice is growing on me..considering she's 14, she doesn't sound that loli or that mature. She sound like a normal kid.

It's probably because they're still inexperienced that they don't enunciation clearly.

There exists a voice actors' union, and from what I recall, Megumi Ogata is one of its members.

Also, I have no idea if this is Tokyo fashion or something but none of the AKB girls enunciate. When the pace quickens or when they are excited it turns into a blob. Not that I don't understand, but still unpleasant.

The real seiyuu are crystal clear for the most part. You can tell clearly where each word starts and ends.

I'm not what he meant by odd, but I personally felt the resolution of the episode was pretty sudden. Not idiotically stupid, but made me go "That's it?".
Gotta love Chieri mentally attacking Kanata though. First say something like makes you think "Oh, is Chieri standing up to her?" and then actually show that she meant to criticize her. Pick her up... and the slam her down...

More importantly, I think I finally realized after 4 episodes that Sonata's name IS "Sonata" and not "汝"...

When I say "odd" I am referring to the overall feel I experience when watching the anime and that I experience after it is over when musing on it later on. In other words, it is an extremely "subjective experience"

Hmm ... lemme quote my earlier post on this. Make it easier than re-saying it all over again.

Ok ... well, after watching eps 2 and 3 I still really don't know what to make of this series. It is ... well ... awkward, for lack of a better word. It reminds me of a child who woke up one morning and realized for the first time that they have become an adolescent, and then begins the difficult process of realizing where all his limbs are while moving around.

It's not bad per se, but it is ... well, awkward. Perhaps even a a trifle stilted at times while feeling rushed and trite too. But for all that I find it kinda likeable for some reason. Go figure.

Hope that makes it a little clearer?

That was pretty awesome, but yeah, I don't think something like that would ever happen in Japan, specially not with idols. The male fans in particular would probably riot or kill themselves, or both.

Chieri got treated unfairly again. Sad to see such a smart girl being made the villain here.
Kanata doesn't enjoy singing and dancing? Seriously? No wonder her skill development has stagnated.
The city they're staying in is gorgeous.

I view Chieri as more of an anti-hero, while Kanata has some angst and inferiority issues eating her (two years being in trainee status or even more is not unusual IRL) motivation that she feels she needs to ditch the batch.
