Best US Anime/Manga News Site?

I was wondering what the best website to keep up with news of anime/manga releases in the US is.

I know of animenewsnetwork, and I tend to keep an eye on it quite frequently, but I was wondering if there were any other sites, that perhaps pertain only to what goes on in regards to the US market.

You can always check the former Anime on DVD sections of Mania.com (http://www.mania.com/anime_manga_oav...egory_143.html) for such details. You can also find a large database of anime DVD and manga reviews going back several years as well as the release dates for every single anime DVD in a particular year: http://www.mania.com/yearlychecklist.php, and tons of other information.

Do they also keep track of what manga has been licensed and by whom?

I don't mind ANN, as I said in my first post, but I feel like I have to wade through a ton of information about what's going on in the Japanese market (which has very little bearing on me) and very little information about what's being licensed here in the US.

It's primarily focused on anime, so manga information is going to require a bit more effort to sniff out. However, you should be able to browse the various features for a lot of manga info, and this is a good place to start: http://www.mania.com/manga_comparison.php (you can filter by "View Manga").

http://www.manga.com is the official website of Manga Entertainment - an anime/manga licensee, so it would be a good place to look for the licenses made by that company, but not too good for much else.

... Actually I find AS to be the most useful centerpoint for my anime/manga hunting and a fair checkpoint for finding out what is licensed.
