Tough. I don't know many supposed 'gods,' but I think my favorite choice is still the contrived, cliched, and common one - Yagami Light himself. I always wanted to see a villain like him gain all these power and exact his version of justice. Not only is it different for once, it's a Hell lot of fun. And of course, I relate to him a lot, and don't think of him as genuinely evil (especially in the live action portrayal of him).

Another being I like, godly enough to be considered a 'god,' is of course the ever-hated Kyuubey himself.

Well there is some speculation that now he is a shinigami(death god) because of the two episodes that were used to give a summary of the series. The shinigami at the end resembles what he wore and at the end Ryuk says some speech and then "right light?" thinking he is still talking to the shinigami but who knows.(well the writers :P)
And remember i said it could be anyone who could claim themselves as a god and if you want to look at it at this perspective one of his godly powers was the death note(even thogh it was an item lol)

In the terms of Haruhu as its a fairly popular subject, I'm also more of a Yuki fan than Haruhu.
The movie itself gives you a clue as to how powerful she is; whilst there is an organisation in charge, given my own agnostic bent on religion, I have no problem accepting that if Gods DO exist, that there could be more than one. Certainly, Yuki is at least 'god-like' in her overall powers, and restrictions and deity heirarchies are absolutely nothing new (I mean Roman/Greek god system for example), and a fundamental part of some religions/belief systems, so why you couldn't see Yuki's organisation as another way of labelling such a thing, I don't know

Katsuragi Keima and Death the Kid(son of the Death God) would be my personal favorites. Not just because of how cool they are... but their obsessions. When you think about it, they're almost alike

the Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is basicly a god with drills lol
