Well, after just reading vol. 14 there are still a few questions left unanswered, and that final page.....WOW. Also this was the end of the FIRST arc in this series. I wonder how many more are planned? Glad I bought each volume though. Supporting this series by buying them helps insure we get the next part of this series which has become one of my favorites.

Okay, so, we get a happy ending I assume? Is Yuki okay? Does Bourgiani get is comeuppance, Now that they know she can be an adult, does she stay that way and have issues with the remaining clan? Can she now marry Akira? See, these are things you haven't answered, and THAT'S what I want to know. There is a way to put that here but not reveal it for those who do not want to know. When you post, there is a little yellow triangle on the bar above where you write. It will slide aside from time to time to show someone as if they were peaking at something. This is the spoiler button. You can make as much of your dialogue that way as you want, telling people that if they click the spoiler button, they can read it, but if they don't want to know, they don't have to. This is what I am asking YOU to do, so I can see it, but you won't spoil it for others if they don't want it spoiled.

Spoiler for Volume 14:
@ paldin313: Spoiler:
What I am curious about... Spoiler:
So now what? A new story begins? It doesn't seem Telomere has any need to bother Mina anymore. If the double will just go her own way and leave the Bund alone, I imagine no one will give her any trouble.

Hmm, no one's paying attention to this series here? You people.
A new volume of the Dive in the Vampire Bund side-story manga has been released in the US. It's set roughly around the time of volume 6 of the main storyline, and is canon. Apparently some of these stories were actually meant to be released around that time, thus giving us introductions to at least one character who later became at least mildly important in the main story, but they were delayed for some reason. As before, the main character is the vampire Akira: Akira Garcia Fujisaki. However, this volume also gives us a significant view into the life of the little goth girl we've seen periodically in the main storyline: the leader of Alphonse Borgiani's group of elite gothloli spies. She is a very interesting character once you get to know her. We also learn her name. Or her first name, at least. And there is yet another sidestory manga that will be released here in the near future that will apparently be focused on the past of Inspector Hamaseiji. That should prove fascinating. Dance in the Vampire Bund isn't gone folks... unlike, aparently, most of the people around here who read it. The main story is expected to continue in the future as well. You all get back here and say stuff!

Not necessarily, the Father's curse forbids any of the progeny of the first queen and their progeny ad infinitum from being anything other than a female in the image of her own mother.
Perhaps the curse overrules her father's genes somehow. And it's not like any of the three great houses loyally abide to Mina's orders, if anything they despise her and would rather see her dead, but as luck would have it her death means the end of the royal line. They have insulted her, harmed her and her closest and on numerous occasions attempted to force her to submit. Not to mention that they killed her mother. The nobles that follow her do so due to the blood coven and due to personal reasons. |

I consider those theories unlikely. The terms he was using simply indicate that he thinks her bloodline is impure. While "mongrel" is used most often for dogs, all it really means is that the creature in question is of mixed or undetermined parentage. And "pup" is just a derogatory statement about her age. He's calling her a bastard child, too young, inexperienced, stupid, and ill-bred to understand things the way an older, more experienced, and properly-bred person (obviously like himself) does.
Since I'm here, the first volume of The Memories of the Sledgehammer manga has been released in the US. While a fair amount of it is in flashback, the manga itself is set three months after the end of the last Dance volume, so it is chronologically a continuation. The Bund is still recovering from the attacks and Telomere's occupation. Many of the fangless died in the fake Mina's attempt to excavate the Cradle under Mount Fuji, including the father of those three children we see semi-regularly. Mina is having trouble trying to run things having lost both Vera as her aide and business manager and Borgiani as head of the intelligence division. Her maids; Nelly, Nella, and Nero; are attempting to fill in for Vera with limited success. No information is given on who might be taking over in intelligence, although I hope that a certain gothloli who was recently focused on in Dive in the Vampire Bund might step into the position. The biggest focus is on Councilor Gotoh, who resigned her position as abmassador to the Bund due to the issues near the end of the last volume, but thanks to popular support of her and Mina having pretty much saved Tokyo, is now running for a seat in the house. Some anti-vampire fanatics are trying to kill or kidnap her due to her alliance with Mina, and somehow her past and Hama's past together play into all of it.
