Kyou no Go no Ni (TV)

For more information on the series,

Source: Moonphase

This time, it seems to be a TV series, instead of an OVA.
Also, it is set for Fall.

Ahaha, Fall again... *slump*

The OVA was decently entertaining, so I'm putting this on my watch list for now.

So what exactly will this TV series achieve? The OVA already did a good job covering the entire manga.

As long as they don't screw up Aihara, this has a chance of being good.

Then again, it could turn out like Okawari...

Of the first OVA series I liked the first two episodes, while the last two where not so great. However I did enjoy the show.
I wonder how they'll be able to make a TV series.

This is what i'm worried about. It looks to be all anime original material, so i'll stay worried until i've seen the first episode.

Again!?!? Are they're trying their hardest to break some kind of record or something?

I absolutely loved the OVA, no doubt they'd have to truly screw this up for me to NOT enjoy it. I mean, if AzuDai can manage 24(26?) eps, then surely this can do the same w/o it being utter crap. I would LOVE more Aihara(Makiko Noto does such an EXCELLENT job with her ).

The AzuDaioh TV series had four volumes of manga to use as material, and it did. The Kyou no Go no Ni OVA's used the manga material, so there's nothing left for a TV series. It's completely different.

No need for pessimism, show some hope, give it some love, believing is half the battle.

Nah, i'll stay worried thank you. It just seems to me that they're riding of the success of Minami-ke. This show does not need a TV series --- i loved the OVA's, i just don't want them to ruin it for me.

So true, but thinking about Code Geass ending possibly permanently will be a dark day, for me at least.

You can only go so far with "anime-original" material, so I would think this series would be for only 12-13 episodes. And like the rest of you, I too, am wondering what kind of story they will use, seeing as they already used up the original source which was the one-volume manga!

There's not much of a story outside of the Sato-Chika-Aihara love triangle, so I expect the majority of it to be Kanokon-lite.

Heck, I'd settle for just Aihara messing with Sato all day

Aihara?! O.o

She's in the picture...?? I watched all 4 OVAs and the short extra curricular class, and i saw no sign of Aihara interested in men, much less at Ryouta... The only one close enough to be seen liking Ryouta other than Chika is Yuki, then again, she gave a valentine chocolate to Koji (or was it Tsubasa ?)

Anyway.. I can't believe it when i saw this thread, I'll put my hope a bit high for this one... although the basic material is from the manga, I think the OVAs was done in a way that made the story better than the one in manga... Hopefully this one will be the case for the whole anime...

Anyway, i didn't find anything about this new in the net, there's nothing in wiki too... and i can't read those kanjis in the source you gave.. I can only cross my finger and hope this is the real deal..

Why does the art style look like Kanokon(assuming that IS what the animation style will be like)? Its 'cute', but I much prefered the OVA's animation style, since it barred a close resemblance to the manga. I wonder how they intend to animate the 'manly/mature' face moments?

And GOD NO Makiko Noto as Aihara? I'm starting to have my doubts .

What the world is this character design...?
Hah... I guess I can't hope for too much on the visuals... Don't like the new art style at all.

Starting 10/5, it seems.
