Aw, isn't the power of friendship beautiful? At least until a dragon comes out like the freakin' hammer of God and blows the bejeezus out of it.

Anyway, we needed this time skip. Natsu and the rest needed to get a hell of a lot stronger so Mashi can finally stop with the same tried plot twists of convenient power-ups and the power of friendship trumping all. Not that it isn't touching from time to time, but give it to me that Natsu can win a boss-class fight on his own power for once.

Well you look at it this way, most of the big ongoing series have had a timeskip of some kind so I guess it's just FT turn now.

And I have to admit I look forward to this, change in appearance for character is such long going series is a nice thing, it can inject some new life into series.
I'm sure Mashima won't let us down with new looks

For the chapter tho, theres def a "WTF?!" and very cheesy feel to it all but it's onwards to something new.
I just hope after this timeskip we won't get to much beating around the bush in showing what happened.

Can't even begin to question on who the fairy girl is, altho her being the first FT master is a good chance.

I dont agree that we needed a time skip. 7 years have passed. We will have new characters as well as old ones will be chasnged( I will miss the old Natsu and Co.

OmG....just OmG.. What the fuck I just read. What happened? In one moment the co's were running away leaving Makarov battling the black dragon, and then the usual Nakama comeback attack, and then finally the black dragon went pissed and pulverizing Fairy Tail island.... killing the FT mains? Afterward they showed us a 7 years timeskip...

Wtf just happened?

Simple. Mashima want to do timeskip arc, and can't find a proper way to do it...so he reserved this method.

what the hell with the timeskip??? can't expect this... it's better if they kill Makarov and then do timeskip...
and who is that little Zeref-boy??? another new character??? so disappointed and maybe it will be a whole brand new and boring arc from now on (looking forward for Erza and the gank return..lol)

I'm surprised the Fairy Tail guild survived 7 years with all it's stongest members gone. You would think other guilds would use this chance to eradicate it.

So I bet Meredy and Ultear have joined Fairy Tail in the mean time at least though.

Apparently, Mashima outdo the Big Three in term of timeskip. I mean, 7 years LOL...It would be lame if Natsu still acting like a brat after 7 years timeskip.

This really reminds me of Claymore right now... Woever read it must know why.

I'm expecting to see everyone alive again but I have no idea why would they be hiding all this 7 years?! In Claymore it was understandable, but here?!

I guess anime will finish with half of this chapter and then some time later we will have Fairy Tail Shippuden.

I'm hald excited for next chapter and half not... I want to see everyone with new looks but before that happens we will have to get to know new characters first and I'm not really excited about that right now... hope author will make them interesting.

wtf indeed! i agree, the seven-year time skip in claymore was not as shocking as this one. they needed that time to hide and get stronger because they were getting creamed by the abyssal ones and the organization was killing off every claymore warrior who has a rebellious bone in her body.

i would understand a time skip in this series if it was only a year or so but seven years is too long. this seems like a back to zero type of arc. i hope not. i would love to see the old characters again.

oh well, hope mashima pulls this one off because if he doesn't he might be signing the death certificate of his manga.
