read it long time ago and forget it....

It's Arabian Night story Spinoff....and the character is ...well.....not notable...
the art is good...but strangely not so appealing to me, dunno why

I'm actually really looking forward to this manga. I loved the Disney movie of Aladdin when i was a kid. Not like this manga has anything in common with that 90s flick but still, the characters so far are awesome and badass. And Ugo-kun's really funny:P Hope this gets picked up cuz there are bout 80+ chapters untranslated so far

Read it until vol.2-3,the real fun start there. The first vol. is just an introduction.

You know, this kind of story-driven, genuine fantasy story is surprisingly rare in manga. We have plenty of derivative JRPG spinoffs, comedic fantasy parody interludes, shounen fighting series and shoujo romance series with fantasy backdrops, but straightforward "classic" fantasy -- the sort seen here, with long adventures and characters you are meant to love -- is really, really rare.

It reminds me of how ANN's Jason Thompson portrayed the similar (if darker and somehow lonelier) Kazan, especially his conclusion at the end: "[it] is a manga which was important to its creator, and you can tell, and that's the best compliment I can pay it[.]"

P.S. Morgianna moe~

That's a good manga. Things get really interesting when Sindbad appears (around chapter 40). So happy it's getting an anime adaptation!

i think this series can really take throne of bleach and naruto , also can compete with one piece but the problem is same with one piece people doesnt like things they dont know . i think everyone should give a chance to this manga cause these kind of masterpieces dont come too often , i will really be sad if this manga finishes because people dont understand it .

Don't worry. This manga is quite popular in Japan. The selling is good.

Also, about the bold part of your post. I think people like what they don't know!

Remember the case with One Piece and Naruto. In,US Naruto is more popular than One piece. In Japan, One Piece is more popular than Naruto.

Why? Because in US, there are many story/tale about pirate while Ninja is the strange thing for US. In opposite, Ninja is commonly seen in Japanese's story/tale while pirate is strange thing for japan.

The setting in Magi, however, is not what you commonly seen in both Western and Asia manga/novel/tales ,so it's not surprise that this manga can become popular.

i hope Magi wll be more popular when anime starts , magis plot is very good ( i think mangas which has a certain plot is best ) . Things i like abaut magi is its side characters stand out , if a manga has good side charecters they made main chars shine more . Djinn system and magic items , dungeon creatures , magicians , swordmans , fighters , etc.. lots of different things . Magi also has its unique animals and enviorement , shiny metal vessels , magio manpulation , rukth etc..
Magi is a manga you should definetly read .

There was a rumor...,but it is now confirmed as the false rumor. So, no anime yet.

By the way, only few people here read this?? I think it is quite popular on certain online manga website.

Lol I figured as much. I couldn't find anything but rumours and confirmed 'big plans' for Magi. If its not an anime I'd love for this manga to be published in english so I could buy it lol...
