It kind of reminds me of Maoyuu Maou Yuusha.

The Hero was totally, totally overpowered in a fight (He even uses a magical nuke, too!). Hero's basically a max level Dragonquest hero with basically mundanes all around him. Much like how Tatsuya is Batman in High School.

Sadly for him, while there are fights he overpowers in, the show wasn't about the fights, but the social interactions. Heck, he also worries that he can't handle that sort of thing and is useless, much like how Tatsuya occasionally worries about his actions in school.

Well, if I think deep down, these outfits are too good for the Mirage Bat though.

Tatsuya said it is natural to be angry for Miyuki.
But, to me it is unnatural to me that Tatsuya is the one who naturally gets angry because of some criminal syndicate put Miyuki in danger.
Is Tatsuya's anger is natural? It is beyond natural, I call it supernatural, at least to me.

Yeah, forgot about Ono-sensei. Still, I won't be surprised if First High School are directly involved with Tatsuya's fight against No-Head Dragons.

Finally. An episode that I actually really liked. For once, I actually felt like the whole Miyuki-Tatsuya relationship wasn't overbearing and actually felt much more like a sibling relationship.
Despite the onii-sama count, I stand by this.

The action was pretty decent and we did have something actually happen.

That being said...I still have no clue what the antagonists here are after? Is it really just that people are betting on this tournament and having people rig the tournament so that they win their damn bets? If so, that's just really disappointing.

First episode of this series that I actually gave something over 7/10. Let's hope this actually keeps up.

I also liked that they acted like they'd been using a soft touch. Their first move was to throw a car into a bus full of schoolkids.

Well they were trying to use methods that would be difficult to trace back to them through normal means. At this point they're desperate enough to say F it and throw subtlety out the window. Traffic accidents and equipment failure could plausibly be disguised as an accident or at least there be a lack of proof of foul play, but yeah mass murder is not so much.

Correct. Mari could not participate because of the sabotaged Battle Board match she was in, so Miyuki was chosen to replace her.

I wonder if anything regarding that flying magic sequence will come up later - you know since it's actually tasuya's intellectual property and was given out without permission...

Not to note that giving it out that underhanded is unfair to Miyuki who aquired it by legit means.

Well...combining what some commentators said this episode --that the magic sequences for Flying magic had been made public-- with what Azusa said in episode 14 --Advanced Magic Sequences only being made public to A-ranked magicians, I'd surmise that Tatsuya/FLT had already made it available to A-ranked magicians at the very least.

Besides, it doesn't look like Tatsuya himself was concerned that they'd leaked it to the other schools...nor did it prevent Miyuki dominating the competition...

So...I really don't expect them to kick up any sort of fuss.

Why would it? It was mentioned, that Taurus Silver published this one month prior to the event.
