I've been waiting for the second movie to come out for a good 4 months on DVD/Blu-Ray but seeing its still in theaters guess it won't be out for a while. ARGH...I'm so impatient lol.

To promote the upcoming pachinko cabinet Fever Macross Frontier, Sankyo have released two adverts showing both CG versions of Ranka Lee and Sheryl Nome performing to real world crowds. To those that remembered the prior Fever Macross adverts and the in-game animation, then these are similarly cool. This pachinko cabinet also foreshadows the upcoming DVD / Blu-Ray release of the second Macross Frontier film, the Wings of Farewell, released later this year. Here’s hoping this cabinet gets the same re-animated treatment for the in-game footage as per the previous Fever Macross.

Anyhow, what's the general consensus about the second movie?

@Haiyami I'd expect the DVD/Blu-Ray release to be somewhere around Fall/Winter. They tend to be release around that time of year.

Much of the focus was on the triangle, and a majority of us are happy with how that ended.

There are also enormous battle sequence of epic proportions, I cannot wait to see it. When it comes to space battles, Macross does it too well.

Is there really no tele-cam rip ?

I'm so eager to see the ending of Sheryl;
I just want a happy ending for her after seeing her hardships (childhood, dead of parents, grandmother, being used as a bait for her singing, and her struggles being the lonely descendantt of the ancient one?).
