The key for me is whether this is going to a matter of fits and starts, or if once restarted, a series stays in production. We've seen the former with Railgun - we'll see how it goes with Major.

This time I thought it's an excellent sports episode. Enjoyed seeing the team struggle, the infighting, Anita doubting herself, and Daigo being the team coach, captain and whatever position he's playing all in one.
Hopefully there'll be no more breaks for a while.

Not only am I talking to myself (don't worry I'm used to that) but I'm quoting myself again. Anyway in this episode we have a closer look Chisato family and it looks like the Chisato look-a-like isn't Chisato's mother (voiced by Kana Ueda in this episode) but probably her older sister?

Glad to see Daigo has learned to look at things from another view.
I've become such a Sawa fanboy. I love that still image of her diving all out to catch a grounder.

Waah. I marathoned this whole series in a few days only to discover I'm back on weeklies for the final few episodes!
I've found this a very entertaining series and actually like season two a bit better. I can't help but root for the girls to show up the other teams. How plausible is it that a middle-school baseball team would have so few boys? Are they scared of having so many girls to contend with? I like how the author accurately depicts the differences in development between the girls and boys at this age. The girls are developing sexually while the boys are just clueless. Surprised there hasn't been any girls' locker-room talk about menarche and periods. By the way, I've found the score for the series to be among the better ones I've heard in recent months. The orchestrations are quite varied, and there are a number of distinctive themes rather than variations on just one or two. The OP/EDs are pretty good, too.

It's a Watanabe show. All the details are going to be stellar.
TBH, it's not very realistic - which is why I think the story really needs to find Fuurin adding some talented male players if they're going to be portrayed as serious contenders going forward. Having a team in middle school be this successful with only two boys is a conceit, albeit an entertaining one.

It especially conflicts with the repeated discussions of how boys will surpass girls athletically in a year or two like the scene with Michiru and her coach. Makes it hard to believe in Mutsuko's pitching abilities.

Mine too.
I hope Hikaru hasn’t suddenly decided he does blame Daigo after all, because that would be a BS move. Even allowing for the fact that it was an accident, in baseball terms Hikaru was the one at fault. And character development opportunity or no, Daigo has come so far and I’d hate to see him have a huge emotional setback over this.
