another mahjong question.

Assuming all tiles are the same suit, would this be considered 3 pon or 3 chi or both?

Eg - 333 444 555 *** **

Assuming a complete hand and all tiles concealed, and ignoring the other tiles (*) to keep things simple and not complicate things.

It's whatever gives the highest point total, so likely 3 pungs.
However, if you had no other yaku in your hand except for the pure double chow, then you'd have to declare it as
345 345 345 instead, so you wouldn't get the minipoints for the pungs in that case.

Basically, you get to choose how your hand is arranged into 4 sets and a pair. If there is more than one possibility you'd obviously choose the highest point total.

Of course assuming that you can declare 4 kongs and it won't end the match.

Another question, assume emauser's senario

Assuming you're the dealer and the first tile you draw allows you to declare a KAN, so that you draw from the dead wall and you get a complete hand, your hand can no longer be considered a heavenly hand?

Is it that all heavenly hansd are ONLY first tiles drawn by the dealer (excluding Declared Kans from the first tile and winning from the dead wall)?

Yes, heavenly hands can only be considered with the initial 14 tiles the dealer has at the start.

Once you draw any tile, be it dead wall or whatever, it's not a heavenly hand anymore.

And while I'm on this note, I'm wondering when the OP/ED changeover are going to happen.

Maybe the next episode 15? After all, it's the start of the final match.

And that album is...intriguing. There's so many character albums they can come up with in this series. Or maybe just 4, with the 4 schools.

Episode 15 had lots of dramatic overflare, especially with Koromo's entrance into the hall, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm cool with both the second OP and ED. The former is Little Non all the way, and the second - I like the beach antics, plus the other schools get involved as Yuki wreaks havoc in SD Form. Another fun week.

Cute new OP and ED, also Momo is cute too..... Dang I guess this whole show is aqbout being cute. Finally some real progress unlike ep 14, the main event! Seems like some people are getting smart and starting to realize Saki's family ties. I can't wait for the next episode, but I wonder how this is going to end. Lots of episodes to go and the manga is like only 1 episode ahead now isn't it? Actually, one thing I still don't like, Saki's wish-washy unstable emotions, she still hasn't fully learned to play the game for just fun. Guess that will be her obstacle to overcome....

Fuh, it was nice meetin' ya'. OP was visually likable, introducing the characters, but the song... is... meh... Quite meh... ED was cute and entertaining though. I'll wash away the memories of that cream-covered Saki+Nodoka shot though... Story... At least the scenario actually moved somewhere this episode, but it still has the feeling it was dragging things the whole way. The reactions can only be so funny until a certain point... Somewhat interesting episode, I guess... The funniest part was Nodoka denying the occult and Momo's "Stealth". Indeed, indeed, there can't be anything like Stealth, can there?. Poor Momo, did you read too much shonen manga and get some crazy idea that humans can go stealth like that? To the doctor, let's go... Preview: Poor Ikeda... Everyone's over the top reaction towards Saki's play was brilliant, and she was just playing along with it.
