.mkv truetype nonsense.
Just downloaded a mkv of an anime (Can't say what due to licensing etc.).
But I've gotten the video to play (after having to upgrade my current media players and reinstalling the matroska pack again), but not the subtitles to load. It's something to do with having to load truetype fonts. When I open it with VLC player, it opens fine apart from the subtitles are a little bland. In BS player the video just loads and that's it. I've tried the settings in BS player to allow for the subtitles but they're still not visible. Help anyone? Or is that a bit vague. |

If you HAVE to use BSplayer, try reading this first (it's written for CCCP, but it actually applies to any BSPlayer+ffdshow+Haali combination).
http://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?t=26303 To configure Haali's splitter to load fonts embedded in MKV's automatically, go Start Menu -> Programs -> Haali Media Splitter -> Settings -> Options tab -> Input -> Load embedded fonts, and set that to "Yes" using the dropdown menu. And are you sure you have VSFilter (the subtitle renderer) installed properly? The Matroska pack should have installed it for you.
