And in today's episode we saw Ashiya's one moment of competent confidence. Cherish those few seconds, because I'm pretty sure you'll never see anything like them from him again.
Shizuku is much cuter than her brother. Although I liked: message: "Come visit Newt Lake sometime, I miss you." Shizuku: "But I just saw him yesterday!" The Legislator is such a siscon. Some hints at Abeno's past. Put the pieces together and folks can probably work out a picture of something by now.

In regards to the adaptation of the confrontation between the capybara, Ashiya, and Abeno... it felt lackluster compared to the manga. I guess it was missing the intensity? I'd recommend checking it out again in the manga, since CR has this one in its manga line-up. Also, has anyone noticed anything off with the audio of this series, or is it just me? E.g., in this episode, random background noises like scuffing would be so loud they would overtake character lines. |

The most important thing about this episode is that the preview for the next episode shows Zenko returning.
...Sorry. Maybe it's because I've been watching a lot of Natsume Yuujinchou lately, but the epic discussion of "how do we give the ring back" seemed kind of uninteresting to me. There's no strength to the emotions. Also, Ashiya's personality seems to get more annoying the more I'm exposed to it. Fortunately, the end of the episode, and the preview for next time, looked much more appealing.

Best girl Zenko returns this week. Also we meet the fox from the OP... who has a higher-pitched voice than I was expecting. I didn't expect him to have the child voice constantly.
I'm going to officially declare Zenko to be the main character, and the other two are sidekicks who just happen to get a disproportionate amount of screentime. Any objections? No? Good.

I think Ashiya is partially blind. Zenko is short but not that short as to be unseen when standing right in front of him.
Is Abeno perhaps partially infected with the parasite but since he is human it doesn't affect him too much but he still has to constantly eat the medicine. I think either his master was originally infected and he failed the fortitude save vs the medicine or Abeno was the victim of a more serious strain of parasite and his master sacrifice herself(?) to save him. |
