It starts on p. 68 though. I agree with Kaisos in that it's likely 70 pages from the novel. It seems to be 54 rows of text (and including the inserted picture) with about 3 rows per magazine page. Having seen some of the text in the original novels, it appears that a row may fit on more than one page, giving it about 70 pages, I would assume.

...So I translated the Sneaker preview of Astonishment if anyone's interested =D
EDIT: And a MegaUpload version, since I know MediaFire isn't always the most stable filehost in the world. Feel free to repost/reupload anywhere you feel appropriate. Last edited by cnet128; 2010-05-02 at 23:26. |

And as for the Sneaker translation... Spoiler for Sneaker snippet:
Cnet, you are awesome. I will never inwardly curse you for being a few hours later than I'd like with a Negima translation again... ^_^

I am so grateful for your efforts, cnet. I was dying of thirst and this preview certainly left me slated. For now. I mean, I might be even more anxious to find out what happens than before.
I pray that the story arc is concluded in this book, I'm not sure I could wait for book 11. |

Last book? Heresy. I won't stand for such nonsense.
I've read through the spoiler sections of this thread that I skipped over before having read the actual extract now, and I feel I should probably mention that yes, the Kuyou line that I translated as "Will you join me?" could just as easily be translated as "Will you / do you want to go out with me?". I was actually quite tempted to translate it in that way, but it seemed a little presumptuous. God alone knows what goes through that girl's mind. Actually, strike that. Haruhi's God, and she's as clueless as the rest of us. |

One thing that I've come to conclusion of over the course of reading the series, (and reading the translation of the 10th book preview.) is that there is way too much that has been covered. Ending the series here would be one hell of a cop-out on Tanigawa's part, and Kadokawa's too given the amount of money they put into. So, this won't be the end, there will be 11th book, but the wait for it won't be nearly as long. (My theory behind the hiatus is that Tanigawa got into a scuffle with his editors over "certain aspects" of the 9th and 10th books that ended turning into a game of chicken that ended in the fall of 2009 with one or both sides backing down from said scuffle.)
