I'd say "perhaps, Mr. Watson". As for the handle, mispelled name plus callsign I was using for the various LucasArts flight simulator combat games "Ro" based on the family name of the Star Trek character Ro Laren.

XD I see what you did there.
Anyone have any idea what happened to the OMCS? From the scene in the cafeteria, they are obviously rationing food. From the previous scene in the floor screen room, Hirata says the OMCS repair will take some time... Wonder when it was damaged, during the Flaken UX-01 attack or if Mirenel had someone disable it under her control... |

One thing we don't know is how much power the shields take or how it effects the ship's ability to use the wave motion gun or warp.
The bubble shield could have problems resulting in it being used rarely (the shots of them being hit at what looks like Balun have the close in shielding again). It being rarely used could set it up for the Final Yamato nod. It was a mode they had mostly forgotten about since one imagines after their engine and other upgrades, Yamato became basically invincible. Running into something that could blowup the ship was not uncommon, but usually they could evade it or shoot it down. The Final Yamato problem was solved by lucky breakdown followed by an application of the observed effect. If they ever get to that point from Yamato 2199 (hopefully they will fix the plot oddities and the mischaracterization/drama handed to the main characters) they will resolve Yamato's survival better. This bubble shield lends itself to that eventuality. It also, in combination with the Reflex Gun satelite system's shielding, reflects another defense system Sanada might employ by the end of this season. It might not be largely practical, but situational shielding (and thus not used very often). In addition, these shields make one wonder about the future EDF Fleet and why the Gamilas don't have shields of this kind. They recognize them, as Linke even said it by the Gamilas name for it when she encounted one.

Oh and here is the Yuki Cosplayer from TAF for good measure. Also one of the Yamanote Line trains was covered in nothing by Yamato 2199 ads and they were playing the previews on the main info screen (did not get pics though) |

If I read the twitter notes correctly, they set it up yesterday or perhaps the day before that for a final countdown to the TV premier. They ran out of stuff before they were close down for the evening.

Those huge posters have hit the auction circuit along with the exclusive clear file. Pity those beautiful posters in the main wall aren't available commercially. Now that i think about it, i wonder why a clear file of the movie poster art hasn't come out with each release?

OK, people, what do you think of this?! Can it be?!
More photos of that table with 2 Polmeria carriers and a Meranka, a Gaiderol and the Kripteras, and further possible prototypes of the Meltoria and UX-01 and also a tank... Funny how, although they are about the same length as the Gaiderol, the Polmerias round shape makes them a lot more massive. Finger crossed that all these come out... Some photos of the detail on the prototype Polmeria and Meranka bomber. http://blog.yahoo.com/_6QGBPW5QQ34IW.../1177287/index Last edited by macdawson; 2013-04-06 at 13:37. |
