Yeah, as much as people wants Rentaro to join Kagetane as a "disciple", he better don't. Because if he does, one day Rentaro would be tempted to Kagetane's psychological corruption.

Damn shame. Most interesting villain I've seen in a while. Hope he pops back up sooner or later. With the secret organizations becoming the main antagonist in the later volumes, maybe he'll appear again and play a similar role as the one he's playing now with the battle against Aldebaran. Giving help and hints while simultaneously having ulterior motives. Somewhere between a villain and an ally fits him best imo.

Yeah, plus I feel that if he and Rentaro actually joined up, it would hurt his character and awesomeness

Considering all corrupt humanity Rentaro has been seeing, I seriously wouldn't be surprised if he really joined up with Kagetane. I mean he did predict Rentaro will join his side in the future, and I do feel this will actually happen.

I doubt he would eventually. But at a time in crisis, Kagetane would appear from the shadows if needed.

Don't make Rentaro look like Anakin Skywalker. Cause it may not look good for him to fall into the dark side, albeit sounds cool.
