Sand = Power
Mist = speed and being well hidden
Leaves = agility and some speed
Cloud = hiding among the sky
Stone = Firmness and power kind of like sand
Sound = Well I guess it means hiding in the sound waves

The hidden leaf village is not a weak name,most of the villagers know fire style techniques and that gives a big advantage when using leaves,and I guess this village is mostly for speed and jutsus.
