And Italy always does this: whenever they get the lead or equalize, and the other team has an advantage, they "get injured" to stop the game then magically, after they get carried off in a strecher, they're fine and go back unhurt. Give me a break.

Wow...can't believe Italy won in a penalty shoot out. And I can't believe Zidane did that headbutt...might have cost them the game too since if he didn't, he would have shot that penalty most likely.

Congratulations to Italy though.

Italy is surely a strong team none the less.But I coudn't help myself not to pity Trezeguet. Too much excitment drove him into that situation I think.May be french has destined to be having a bad luck in this match. All two goals hitted the bar.Even though the first one went into the net, I felt quite weird. raphaël really need a big hug from us now.

i dnt watch much football but i tend to think that penalties are more on luck rather than skill...unlucky france (they seem really pissed

It doesn't matter who provoked him, he was the one who decided to do an obvious red card offense. I know when you're angry you do things you regret but he should have kept his cool.

I'm more shocked at what Zidan did than Italy winning the world cup. I mean, this is his last game, he must've heard something REALLY bad which made him act like a kid. Shame, shame, shame...

Congratulations to Italy. I hoped France would win and believe that they deserve the cup instead, but what can we do.

Zidane simply lost it completely. It's so sad to see his career end like that. Even if he was provoked, there was no excuse for him to do that headbutt, the referee had no choice but to send him off.

Congratulations to the Azurri then. Buffon was superb in the whole game, he was a bit nervous during the shootout, and actually didn't even saved Trezeguet's miss, but poor Barthez was just as unlucky. In the end it became a lottery.
