In keep with tradition, there's that SZS reference again. I'm glad to see the series back on the air for its second season. I got some good laughs out of this episode. Natsu no Arashi just ain't Natsu no Arashi for me without the salt guy saying his line at least once and he even ninjas his way into the end part of my favorite scene of the episode, though his eyes seem rather dislocated there which bugged me a little.

Would you be saying that if season two aired before season one?

Wow. I'm amazed that the show is actually animated better than before. Still a lot of still shots, but it works so much better. Not as much weird cut-away shots either.

Maybe the Bakemonogatari controversy had them alerted.

Iam a bit interested. What controversy on Bakemonogatari?

On Topic:

Seems NNA s2 will cover manga's 4,5,6 and 6.5 probably for the fanservice and jokes in 6.5.

I feel the new OP song will not grow on me, though the visuals will.
*waits for the end song*

I love the characters of Natsu no Arashi. But this episode felt a little bit stale to me. They need to change the topics of humor I think. I also don't find Jun to be that interesting of a character to focus a whole episode on though I guess as well...

6.5/10 for this episode.

I'll watch the whole season of course no matter what happens though.

this series is definitely underated. Decided to finally watch the 1st season. It was definitely enjoyable.

The first episode of the 2nd season was alright

He's probably referring to all the unfinished animation for Bakemonogatari that resulted in sequences where nothing but audio happened.

I didn't like the new OP at all--it's weird and odd, but the song just isn't enjoyable to listen to and the visuals are distracting at best.

The Ranma 1/2 reference was insanely hilarious.

Second episode is good. Glad it carried on from last weeks, though the animation was pretty low.

High points are the epic pillow fight, development in that one scene towards the end and those wonderful foot shots.

Mahjong returns to Sundays, even if only for a little while. Also, Yayoi is afraid of ghosts despite being one herself. The highlight of the episode would probably be the chase sequence - very dynamic.

Pretty good episode 2. What's up with the use of widescreen lately Shaft?

There were some bad quality with the characters in the scenes. The mahjong scene was done pretty well IMO (Akaji vibes a bit).

I'm personally pulling for Jun and Hajime. I don't think Arashi and Hajime would ever work in a way that isn't really wild fantasy-like. However Arashi seems to be not interested in romance either..

Great follow up episode. SR characters made a big reference here in ep.2 which was truly nostalgic to see them animated again.

Glowing body censors like in Queens Blade the censored version and the ever popular smoke screen. Definitely a must see in the DVD releases. Oh btw is NNA s1 dvd's release in all episodes?

Spoiler for ep.2:

Great episode fanservice, references, parodies and character development at it's finest.

Also OP and ED will not really grow on me. The OP is good to watch even without sounds.

Natsu no Arashi Fun Fact:

The trend of "titles named after songs" continues this season, and the song that lent Akanaichuu's second episode its name actually has an entire section on its Wiki article asking "What is that supposed to mean?"

According to the original singer, it means "pubic hair".

I really don't get the ongoing salt jokes here. Getting old imho, the funny thing is that he's staying at the same inn as our guys.

There's nothing much to get. It's just a guy asking for salt, and never getting any.

Hard to figure why this series doesn't get more love. It's just consistently really, really good.

I'm nursing a weird theory - I think maybe Hajime knows. Probably wrong, but I'm getting a funny feeling about it.
