Maybe it's "How they win" that the thread creator wanted. The exact phrase escapes me ATM, but the point of it is that how you reach the end is much more enjoyable than the end itself.

It's not really our place to judge people. If he prefers to pick anime like that, then so be it.

nice point, even if the ending is ruined i always ended watching it anyway to see how it ended up like it was, like when my cousin ruined V for Vandetta ending for me, I still watched it hehe.

Bad guys need to win more in the end IMO.

Or at least, "if the good guys can't win, they make damn use the bad guys won't win either" ending.

Bad guys need to win??? Damn, bad guys always win in reality, what's the point in having them win in movies, too? How will you make people hope in something better when art will be plunged in negativity?

I say make decent villains, that play an active part in the heroes' character development but who themselves develop along with the characters, then kill them of in a spectacular triumph of light over darkness.
