RIP Just when you thought these guys are going help in the end, Grace kills them all. Something tells me Grace isn't human or a mere cyborg at all but an AI. In Macross Plus people were fine with sentient AI but AI with illegal emotion chips were considered dangerous. Grace doesn't care if you're human, Zentran or Vajra. |

I'm really curious as to what her true motives/plans are exactly. Though since she wants Sheryl gone, I hope someone kills her eventually. That'll be difficult though with her being a cyborg, she can easily switch bodies.

Will it evolve into a queen vajra? The color scheme matches. Hmm, on the one hand, it could turn against Ranka, to resolve Ranka's determination to kill them all, to resolve Ranka's will to sacrifice. On the other hand, it could be the key to defeating the Vs or it will save Ranka in the process due to the power of friendship. Or, it will save the humans due to the relationship between Vajra and human (Ranka.) It's too broad for me to speculate, so I'm not gonna say anything for now. |

Levels of Vajra pokemon.
Level 1 - cute green legless squirrel like critter. Level 2 - Same as level 1 with legs. Level 3 - Has mini armor 2 legs and 3 eyes. Level 4 - Yellow cannon fodder type. Level 5 - Red anti-capital ship type. Level 6 - Queen Vajra. This episode actually confirms my speculation that the Guantanamo which was infested was that Macross' escort ship. Ships Vajra capture are turned to nests. Quote:

Just realized it wasn't the SDF-1 when roan wrote about the VF-X 2 in the speculations thread. Anyway, I guess the plot is moving in the same way as M7. Hopefully this series is also going to be epic.

Grace.. I wanna see her dead, I wanna rip her in two. I knew from the beginning that something isn't right with her and now we all know the reason.
Interesting episode, with all the heavy battle next episode (and probably also the episodes after that) I wonder when some of the main characters will die. Not that I want that but I have this feeling.. |

I really was surprised by this ep. to me it was one of those WTF ep. . I'm still trying to figure out WTF was Grace doing. I think her mission was to keep the Vajra waking up. But she didn't have to take out the entire base full Zentradi to do it. Then what's with Brera why in the hell was he getting in Alto's way when Alto was trying to save Ranka. This ep. left me a lot of questions?
1. Who in the hell did Grace work for? 2. Is this the last we'll see of Grace? Probly not. 3. What happen to Michael and Sheryl? 4. How is Alto going to tell Ozma that Ranka got captured by the Vajra? Most likely Ozma will beat down Alto for letting his sister get captured by the enemy. Even though it wasn't Alto fault that Ranka. He'll probly be to pissed to here the entire account of how she got captured. 5. Why was Brera there? 6. What will Sheryl do now? Since Grace set her up to die when she took out the base? |

Oh you know me too well I actually haven't seen the episode yet but everything I've read about it seems to be setting Sheryl up as the one watching from the distance and going through pain. Usually this person ends up winning and to Ani_D that's not based on Kawamori history that's based on the majority of romantic shows.

Kinda ironic how last episode I (and others) were going, "hmm, maybe Grace did something to ensure Sheryl was ill" and now she like "Die Sheryl die, muahaha" and come out as an evil ninja android or something...
I suspect that Leon wants a nice little rallying cry to unite people under his control - "sob, sob, they killed Sheryl... now shut up and do what I say". I guess this explains why Grace didn't seem annoyed for Ranka to turn up and save the day (I was kinda curious about that and kinda miss-directed me into thinking she was nicer than she looked), since it ultimately wasn't going to make much difference. I wonder if part of the plan was to destroy some evidence about the research fleet as well (kill two birds with one stone)...? |

So...now that Grace has been outed as the "bad guy", and Sheryl definitely suspects something is amiss with Grace and how her illness came about, where does this leave Sheryl in the whole scheme of things?
1. She can't go back to Galaxy, since it's assumed to be destroyed (well, no one from Frontier has gone over the check). 2. She just lost her manager, who just blew up a whole planet and herself along with it. Sure, Grace could do a Cylon and download to a new body, but she'll have a lot of explaining to do to Sheryl. 3. Since it looks like the action is going to heat up again, her music career is probably at a standstill right now. I kinda laughed it off when someone suggested earlier that she was going to join SMS or something when she joined Alto's school, but more and more I'm starting to think that it just might happen. She is really starting to remind me of Misa, what with her grabbing the plane controls and all. On top of that, ep13 looks like it's going to mirror the Hikaru / Misa / Max adventures on the Zentradi ship, except this time it's Sheryl / Michael / Ranka. Something tells me that Sheryl's not going to be the type to sit back and do nothing will things unfold around her. So if she's not singing, I'm guessing that she's going to be in the thick of the action somehow. Last edited by whisky23; 2008-07-03 at 18:13. Reason: typo |

They most likely folded with the Vajra capital ships. Alto and Ranka well there are several different possibilities for them in the future.
>> << When I saw Grace do what she did, I couldn't help but think of Belldandy going apeshit on Keiichi and co (same Seiyuu). She can voice such a Goddess so innocently but can also manipulate her voice to do a complete psychopath. Skill... its wonderful, yet scary.

First thing, this was a very interesting episode. But it should be obvious the SDF-1 was an older-generation Macross-class. Not the vaunted Battle 7, 13, Frontier or Galaxy. After all, the SDF-1 Macross is a relic by this point, I highly doubt, if it can serve other purposes beyond an enshrined museum.
Ranka ended up like Sara Nome in Zero. Anyone by this point should notice the resemblance immediately. Not sure why Grace wanted to kill Sheryl though. If she wanted to, she could have done it a long time ago, but we'll see. Ranka's kidnapping reminded me of Minmei's own kidnapping in DYRL, only to involve Misa and Kaifun as the latter two came to the rescue. Er, and don't mess with Quran. Its nice to know the next episode will involve a fleet vs fleet battle, at last. Quote:
